My mom saved and brought down all of my AG stuff from when I was little--two dolls, two beds, a shitload of clothes/shoes/accessories, and a custom armoire.
I don't want to be too gender normative but what are the odds that one of my two boys would be interested in this stuff when they get to be old enough to have nicer toys?
We have the room to store it but if we're looking at 5-7 years of storage for it to not get used I'd rather get rid of it now. Would you save or sell?
My brother got his own AG doll for Christmas one year because he loved ours so much, but without older sisters I don't know boys that request that type of doll. Do you have the bitty babies? They may like those.
If I was you I wouldn't personally keep the stuff if you're done having kids.
They're not Bitty Babies, I have a Kirsten and a generic "looks like you" one with dark hair.
We may have a third, but it wouldn't be for another 3-4 years and would mean, like, 10 more years of storing this stuff.
I'll have to dig through it sometime and post what I have. I might save a few sentimental pieces.
Would any of the local KC MMMs of girls be interested in bigger stuff? I will have to dig a bit but I have a gorgeous armoire for AG clothes that was handmade at an Amish furniture shop, and I think an AG doll bed too. fortmyersbridecjeanettepugz

Sell, my little brother stole my American girl doll ruined her hair and put makeup all over her face. He also ripped her clothes. He was old enough yo know better and had no interest in that whatsoever ever

I had a boy over today who showed up with glitter on his face and spent two silent (for me) hours playing calico critters and modge podging with my DD. He is 9. He is on the far end of the spectrum, but a lot of kids, including my son, will play with dolls in the right environment. My BFF growing up from 7-15 was a boy. We played hot wheels and Legos.
J plays with dolls and has one from my childhood. But it's just a generic doll. I don't think boys would generally be as in to ag specifically. They would probably like a generic baby just as much. At least j does. He treats it like his baby - feeds it, puts it to sleep, in the swing or bouncy chair etc. Any doll works.
I don't know. I am leaning towards telling you to sell but my 6 year old nephew loves my sister's Molly from when she was little and asked for his own AG doll. He got one for his birthday and sleeps with her every night and plays with her often. My sister even sewed them matching pajamas that he loves to wear!

I would probably sell them. My 7 year old son will play with the boy bitty twin on rare occasions, but he's surrounded by 3 sisters who are also playing with dolls. I don't think it's something he would choose on his own.
I wish I lived near you. I would LOVE that armoire.
Anyway, I would probably keep the dolls, at least. Your boys may not be into the clothing and accessories, but who knows? I know a few boys DD's age who do play with dolls, especially if they're having boy-girl play dates. One friend of DD's in particular likes to bond with her over his vast knowledge of Barbie stuff.
So sad I live nowhere near you. Have I mentioned that my MIL sews doll clothes as a hobby? We have outfits coming out of our ears and I'd love a nice place to store them.
