E walked into H's and my room while I was changing. He started giggling and saying "Mommy's BUM! Mommy's BUM!" Then he went into the attached bathroom and rummaged through a cupboard. He grabbed deodorant and held it up to my crotch, saying, "For mommy's BUM!" OK, kid.
DD's nap was less than an hour and she needs to stay up until 8 tonight for a block party. This does not bode well.
Related, can DH and I put her to bed and then go outside in our culdesac? The monitor only reaches in our driveway. We would go back to the driveway every now and then to check the monitor. She goes down at 7pm and we don't hear from her until 7am basically 100% of the time, if that matters.
Download the app called Dormi on both of your phones and use one as a monitor and you can definitely be out in the culdesac. We were three doors down on 4th of July (for about a half hour, and we locked the house) and heard him just fine with this app.
When they're older our kids are totally going to tell their friends horror stories about how we rewarded them with prunes. DH just told DD1 "if you finish your apple, you can have a prune". But she thinks they're candy! And doesn't poop!
@notquiteblushing when is your next IVF / IUI? Not sure what your plans were.
I went for a lining check yesterday, hoping to do a transfer on Tuesday but my lining wasn't thick enough. They think it will be next Friday though. Thanks for thinking of me!

Hm, but then how would I get my phone back when we come inside? She wakes up the second we even crack the door.
I think I'm just going to risk it (lol) and come back to the driveway to check on her frequently. We're in the middle of the culdesac and the house will always be totally visible. We'll actually never be less than 30 feet from the house.
We live on a culdesac and this wouldn't bother me in the slightest, fwiw.

My MIL had my DH convinced that raisins were candy for a looooong time, like middle of elementary school (he went to a Montessori school and they were hippy dippy with food even back then).
DH installed the new fan in DD's room since hers only worked some of the time AND installed the dining room chandelier that I bought 3 years and 1 house ago. Pork tenderloin is marinating and DH just took DD on the bike to the grocery store for a few things, which is really not that close. Not super far but we live in the burbs so it's a 10 minute drive. The house is so nice and quiet

It's been such a nice day so far. We all ran errands together, wandered through a toy store then went out to lunch. DS sat so nicely during the meal and even ate a good amount of his kid's meal! Then I came home and took a nap during DS's nap. Both DH and I agreed that we can definitely see the benefits of being OAD. Oops, too late..

Honestly, it wouldn't bother me either. Plus, I think you could probably hear the monitor from the driveway if it's up loud. Just wanted to offer @this an option. We considered downloading the app on H's old phone so we wouldn't have to worry about getting the phone.

Lol until I was like 5 I thought that dates were candy!

While taking a bathroom break at work today, I noticed DH called 5 times. Commence freak out. Turns out he got pulled over for speeding and didn't have his wallet because he couldn't find it. As if I can help him. He thought it was in my purse but it wasn't. We've looked everywhere in the house and I'm thinking it dropped out of his back pocket while we were out yesterday.
DH is irking the heck out of me...DD2 is at a 4hr birthday party & he took her, then went to work. So I get a lovely 5+hr window of solo parenting 3 on a Saturday. Yesterday I went out with friends for my birthday dinner...something that happens once a year...3hrs (6-9pm)...he couldn't even bothered to put the kids to bed.
So they were all hanging out when you got home? Tired and cranky? Not cool man.

There is a girl I went to HS with that has been posting pics like crazy of her baby. I get it, first time mom, I probably won't be much better, haha. But she posts the weirdest things. Once she posted "baby's first car wash!!" with a pic of the soap on the window, not even of the baby. Odd. She just posted a pic now of her holding the baby.. as I look closer, it looks like baby had a bit of a blowout all over her hand. And your first thought was to take a pic and post it all over? I'm pretty sure my first instinct would be to grab something to clean it/baby/me up! Not to mention I really don't need to see that. God I hope I never turn into that kind of mom!

They were awake & he just sent them to bed when I got home. They aren't cranky staying up later but it'd have been nice not to have to deal with DD3s million pre-bed requests for 1 night. I do take my girls 1-4wks a year to WY &/or Vegas alone plus he travels for work sometimes (conferences, etc) so he gets a break from bedtime ordeal so it irks the hell out of me he can't suck it up 1 night.
