TMI vagina and Estrogen question

At my lining check Friday I was told to add one Estrace pill orally to the three vaginally I've been taking.

Friday night I had sex.

Yesterday I put the pill in and went out for a while and my vagina felt so irritated. I was going to call the nurse but it felt better by the time I got home.

Sex last night was pretty painful and now I feel sore after inserting today's first pill.

I googled but I found conflicting stuff. Is this normal? I'm going back to the clinic tomorrow but I just want reassurance if anyone knows.

I think vaginal discomfort is a potential side effect. But other than that I'm not really sure of details or specifics, hope the doctor can give you some answers.
