I have a white people feeling awkward story for you. Dd's soccer coach kept mixing up the kids' names. She said, "Sorry everyone. There are just too many blonds and names that start with L." A little girl then said, "Yeah and there are too many blacks!" You guys should have seen the look on her mom's face. Then she continued, "We're all wearing black shorts."
My kids woke up at 2:30 in the morning, decided it was breakfast time, and woke me up to start making it for them. Thankfully they went back to bed without protest after I freaked out about the time, but I couldn't fall asleep again until almost 4:00. Then DS 1 came into my room at 5:00 because he'd had a bad dream.
There is a lot of coffee being consumed in my house right now.

DD's first birthday isn't until Wednesday but we had her party yesterday. She didn't really care to smash cake into her face so she was a relatively clean eater, to every party guest's disappointment.
ETA: Meh, stupid app is giving me the evil question mark. Will upload tomorrow.
I can't get my kids to understand that we don't say "oh dammit." (Well mom does....but that's not the point.)
Dd thought the appropriate thing to say when you drop something was "oh shit." Toddlers drop things a lot. It was also the first two words she put together which was something her speech therapist wanted to know.
I think I've told this one before, but one time I yelled at a guy driving to move over, but stopped myself before swearing. Then dd yelled from the back "Yeah, move over you jackass!" DH rarely swears, so I don't know where she picked these things up...

We just got back from camping, two whole nights, no broken down truck. Everyone did really well, we had a little chaos when we arrived to sprinkles and had to get set up quickly in the rain.
Last night after the kids went to bed I walked by the tent and heard A having this conversation with his stuffed alligator (Al): My name Andrew Oh, your name Andrew? Yeah, uh huh Ooohhh My name Al Your name Al? Yeah, uh huh Ooooohhhh I went for a walk, remember? Yeah, remember that? I saw bugs in the water, remember? Yeah, remember that?

DD is notably clingy now. All day she wants me to play with her and I feel wicked guilty with the baby attached to my boob all damn day. Also she grew up on me and now she's too big to sit on my lap and cuddle appropriately now that my belly is much smaller.
Shorti does this ridiculously cute pleaseeeeee when she wants something. Usually it's a bite of whatever I'm eating. And I give it to her because I'm a sucker.
This morning she yanked my shirt down and said pleeeeeaaase! No. Child you have been weaned for months. Stap it!
