My husband is so German and so badly wants fingerprint/handprint-free walls and a living room devoid of any trace of children. I told him he's going to have to give that up to Christ. We'll repaint when DD2 is 10.

A friend of mine was over today and I commented on how one of the arms of our couch was sunken in. She recommended someone who was selling a couch in good condition. Nope. I'm letting these couches die a disgraceful death and replacing them when the kids are older.
Feeling pretty good that we just bought a couch from Ikea with removable covers...
Also, noting to self to hide all of the sharpie markers. DD is weirdly obsessed with them and has already gotten some on our wood floor while coloring on tracing paper. It soaked right through :/
Trying to train my kids to put something underneath their paper when they draw has been surprisingly difficult, mostly because I tend to forget myself until I walk by and spot super-saturated color on the paper and have a heart attack.
