I need to go to the grocery store but getting myself and the baby dressed and actually going out seems very ambitious so I'm sitting on the couch while the baby naps. I also don't have a grocery list yet. Why is meal planning so hard lately?
I have not meal planned or clipped a single coupon since DD3 was born. I haven't even been grocery shopping in almost 3 weeks. We have close to nothing in the house to eat. It's bad.
If we had a money tree, I would totally be a SAHM. I love being home with the girls and we get to so many fun activities during the day. It's hard to squeeze that stuff in on weekends. Ugh
If we had a money tree, I would hire someone to do my hair EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. I'm terrible at doing it and it only ever looks good from the time I get it cut until the first time I wash it after that.
holly116, we don't have cable, and we don't like watching sports, and we feel like it's ALWAYS sports. You could probably get a lot of baseball with the free channels -- that said, all your "home team" talk went over my head, lol!

My mom is flying in today in preparation for my induction next week! It's going to be so nice to have the extra help with DS, as DH is still deep in workaholic pre-paternity leave mode. Hopefully this will get DS a little more activity and a little less PBS - end of pregnancy has turned me into a seriously lazy parent.

DD had a random fever last night that seems to be gone today, fortunately. But we are all home. H and I are trying to get shit done while trading off child care. Not sure how this is going to work out...
Bas is OBSESSED with trucks and buses these days. The recycling truck was picking up our recycling when we left this morning, and he lost his mind with excitement. He also shouts and screeches if we drive by a truck - we saw a cement mixer singing its twirly song on Saturday and it was probably the highlight of his weekend.
This stage is still going strong for us. Every bus, truck, mixer, and trash truck gets enthusiastic acknowledgment while we're driving. If I don't affirm the truck sighting, he announces it louder and louder until I do. On trash day, we listen for the trash truck and run like crazies to the front of the house to catch a glimpse.
Have you been to a Touch a Truck event? Probably more exciting to DS than Disneyland and the swimming pool and the beach combined.
H is taking C to his well check this morning because I have a work meeting out of town. He's very nervous, it's kind of cute. He has only taken him to sick visits before.
In not-surprising news, he is 84th percentile for weight, 61st percentile for height, and his head is still off the charts massive.

So M has gotten into saying "like my daddy!" He usually says this when they're both wearing the same color shirt, or when they wear the same pair of shoes, or when M plays golf. Well today he was in the bathroom and I heard H say "Wow that's a big poop, Max!" and M says back "Like my daddy does!" lol
I just finished another preschool app while my kid watched Sesame Street. Went to get my checkbook for the application fee and it is TWO HUNDRED DOLLHAIRS (most has been $60!!!!)
What the flying fuck. That is some bullllllshit right there.
I'm thisclose to canceling cable. Nothing irritates me more than when they start creeping up the bill by $5 a month and then quickly reverse it if I call and sit on hold forever. Which sucks. And really, the only reason we really like it is to watch baseball during the summer and for kids programing. Baseball is over and we have plenty of DVDs.
You can get the MLB.tv package for things like Roku, Xbox, etc. The blackout rules are still in effect, so you'll miss the in-market games, but I think I saw news articles saying they're going to revise those.

we live in a neighborhood where there is a lot of construction going on. They are building houses right now across the street from us. We see lots and lots of heavy machinery. Nods used to be in love with them, but now she's tired of that and claims they are too noisy.

DS would love that! I wouldn't have to entertain him at all, just stick him in front of the window with some snacks.

Just to apply? Do you get the money back if you don't get in?
I remember being mad my parents "only" let me apply to eight colleges but they were $50 a pop. And that's COLLEGE.
Oh I meant to ask you this once, do you read Urban Baby?

DS is obsessed too! The garbage truck was the highlight of our vacation!
MH found some short videos on YouTube that DS loves- twentytrucks (songs) and thingsthatgotv (calmly narrated by a kangaroo). DS loves the fire truck and garbage truck on both. However he is NOT a fan of the street sweeper and gets upset if we play it.
He also loves the books Diggers Go, Trains Go, and Trucks Go, all by Steve Light.

Just to apply. I doubt it's reimbursed. The fuck.
I used to read during the newborn zombie phase. But there is so much "I'm so rich but feel so poor" shit over there. I just can't. Like. STFU. For cereal.

We spend a lot of time in the front porch watching. The workers probably think that I'm some type of strange creeper.

This is DS. Daycare is on a busy street. After I pick him up, he points at the road and we look at all the traffic go by before we get in the car. He sits there with his mouth open like, 'Wooooowwwww'.
ughhhh dd had a slight fever last night and was so clingy. The only way we could get some rest was to co-sleep and I am so tired. I don't know what is wrong with her. When will the fussiness/wonder weeks/growth spurt/teething end? At this rate, she will probably be an only child.
I'm going to AW here because I finally unloaded my DSLR camera last night and found this picture from a few weeks ago, which I absolutely adore. I mean, this kid could be a model for Hape. lol

Thank you!!! Bookmarking and reserving library books as we speak.
Your welcome!! Diggers Go is his favorite. I just warn you that you'll sound like a crazy person reading it. Lol

And because I like AWing DD3 today, she just rolled over (belly to back) for the first time! She was on the play mat having tummy time and just rolled herself right over. I thought it was an accident at first so I put her back on her belly. Nope, she did it a second time.

This looks like an ad! Beautiful kid and photography.
The photography was totally lucky. I am a DSLR novice, for sure. But thanks!
I really like when G (DD) wants to play with sidewalk chalk, cause I feel like a super "artist" with my shading technique. Oh and she has fun throwing the pieces around. This is currently happening at my house.
