Does someone who knows Boston mind looking at this list of places and give me advice on location? They all make it seem like they are in the center of all the attractions but they aren't all near each other. We would be staying 3 nights (some of them have minimums), budget would be up to $250/night. We would be using public transportation, so would want to be near that. It's a trip for me and my sister - we will be eating, drinking, walking around to see some sites, but mostly we aren't there for hardcore sightseeing. The Samuel Adams brewery tour and drinking wine on the sidewalk is going to be more the flavor of the trip over history. Don't judge.
I don't see addresses available but generally speaking most of those do look pretty centrally located. Boston proper is pretty small and most of the nicer areas to stay in are within a fairly reasonable walking distance of each other. I generally recommend the Back Bay or Boston Common areas to narrow things down, but if you're here mostly to eat/drink, any number of the neighborhoods named would be great.
The South End is very nice and basically right next to Back Bay; lots of little restaurants in the area.
The North End is Little Italy and chock full of restaurants and bakeries. It's near Faneuil Hall and the financial district.
Beacon Hill is full of high-end homes and trendy little shops but less lively an atmosphere.
I wouldn't stay by Fenway Park or Symphony Hall--too far removed from the heart of the city.
If you pick out one or two places that catch your eye, I can be more specific with my thoughts.
Awesome, thank you! I will narrow it down and ask your opinion. I appreciate the help!
