Mark my words, it's only a matter of time before the cosmetic industry tells us we need LIP PRIMER to keep our lipstick in place all day. And it will sell billion$$$$.
Also, I use lash primer, but only because it makes an actual difference, and isn't clumpy on me like a 2nd coat of mascara (regardless of brand/formula) is on me. Perhaps I'm a big ol' sucker, but oh well!

It doesn't matter if someone already thought of it. There hasn't been a lot of press. After all, gel nails have been around since... 1990? They didn't take off until they were marketed as "shellac". And foundation with powder should be good enough for eye primer too, right?

The soak-off shellac/gelish/axxium stuff is actually not the same as the "gel nails" of the 90's. The formula is similar, but not exactly the same.

For some people, yes. But, I am a huge eyeshadow primer/ base person. It's the only thing that keeps my shadow from creasing. Foundation and powder creases on me.
What? This is a blog. I thought you were showing me some science. There have always been slight differences between brands, but UV gels have changed very little since I applied them to fingernails, back in the day. File off, soak off, meh. It's the same substance orthodontists use to anchor braces to teeth. So different viscosities of almost identical compounds. Nothing really new.

It may not be exact science, but its written by a professional in the field. Bottom line is its different. Sorry I don't have any peer-reviewed articles for you.

I am the same - my lashes are long, but not full and the primer really helps but doesn't get clumpy. I also noticed that it keeps my lashes from breaking and they stay longer (no joke, I tested this scientifically! )
