So, the writing organization I have been involved with for several years has been going through a lot of changes. The nonprofit organization was supposed to be dissolved early this year, but that has been delayed over and over. I don't know all the legalities of it, but it now seems that the organization is now free from debt and may be able to continue, albeit in a somewhat different structure.
In the meantime, writers, editors, and workshop leaders have continued to meet, plan, and have been working on publishing a journal, of which I have been one of a few volunteer editors. I just got an e-mail from the person who has been kind of heading things up in terms of keeping the group rolling, saying that the organization may be able to continue as a nonprofit and asking if I would be interested in being a paid editor (not a full-time job, just editing the journal maybe a couple of times a year). So, essentially, they might want to pay me for something I've been doing for free! Yes, please!
