First, did you get it fixed? I was so sad to see it got hit.
Second, why did you choose the crosstrek hybrid over the regular crosstrek or even the outback? (I tried looking at your old posts to see if you'd already done this and couldn't find it.) I was looking and it appears they all have the same mpg with the outback having slightly larger cargo space.
Third, do you think my two fluff butts would fit comfortably in the back?
I'm investigating for when we replace the CRV. I want something with better gas mileage than I have now (~22 mpg), AWD and space for pups. H had a Subaru long ago and loved it except for the maintenance costs were a bit higher. I hate the seats in the CRV, so comfort will be a big factor.

No. ::sniffle:: I need to just suck it up and claim it on insurance, and soon.
There's not much difference between the regular and the hybrid. The 2 main differences are that 1) the hybrid is peppier, and 2) produces less emissions. In fact, one review I read said that, "The only reason you would choose the hybrid is because of the environment." Ummmm... yeah.
I didn't even look at Outbacks. I felt like they were larger than what I needed.
But really, the deciding factor was going to the lot and finding the tricked out hybrid was significantly reduced down to the price of a base non-hybrid model because of the hail damage.
I think your two would fit just fine back there. The seats are roomy.

FTR, if the Crosstrek isn't your speed, I can HIGHLY recommend the Impreza Wagon. our two fluffbutts fit in the wagon with plenty of room.
We looked at the Crosstrek but the tires on the Crosstrek are PRICY to replace. I had similar tires/rims on my Jetta and ONE tire would run $200. It's a maintenance cost I didn't even think of at the time, but it put me off "sport tires" for good. And with Subaru being AWD, you always have to replace both or it fucks things up.
Also the awesome hulk green is only available in hybrid I believe.
My mom's forester was in the shop last week so she got a slime green hybrid as a loaner. She looked great in it, and bonus! my toddler thought she was the COOLEST
