My coffee pot is dead. Well, it's about to be, because I'm about to kill it for making me luke warm coffee.
Recommend your coffee pot. I don't want a Keurig, we did that, I'm over it. I'd get the same one, but I can't find it anywhere and I don't think they make it anymore.
I love my Cuisinart Grind and Brew. It grinds the beans right into the filter. Makes a super hot cup of coffee (scalding, actually). I had my last one for 8 years before it died. I have the basic one, not the one with the Burr grinder in it. My parents have that one. It works the same as mine, but you can load beans in and it will grind however many cups you set it for. So, slightly more convenient, but for more $$.

Jumping in here. Does it beep when done brewing? I have been thinking about a Cuisnart coffee pot but have been turned off by it beeping. I don't want my coffee to wake up a toddler and baby!
We got the first one as a wedding/shower gift, and we've been buying replacements as needed at BB&B with 20% off coupons. For the price, they do the job well for an acceptable amount of time. We keep getting the same one for that reason and also because now we have a couple matching carafes. Useful for when we a) break one (BTDT) or b) are entertaining and want to make < 12 cups of coffee to serve.

It makes 3 or 4 short beeps, but that's it, and not loudly. I would say the grinding is louder. We don't have a problem with either, though. We have a ranch style house that is pretty open concept, and DS sleeps through it.
We have a cuisinart grind and brew, a french press, and a chemex. The chemex is my favorite. Grind and brew least favorite.
I'll be replacing the cuisinart with a bonavita the next time we get a bb&b coupon in the mail.
Do you want the 20% coupon that I have now? We're not going to use it.
It's ok. It's not urgent. We don't use our auto coffee maker much anyway. Though maybe we would if it made better coffee? I'm cool with my chemex for now.
I really want to try this, at least for weekends. Do you use this exclusively? I was just wondering about feasibility of doing it in the mornings. I agree- best tasting coffee!

We use a french press and it's not a huge deal. We pre-grind the beans and freeze the grounds, and then boiling water to pour over the grounds in the press doesn't take that long.
I don't even pregrind the beans. Once it became habit I think I put the kettle on to boil and grind the beans half asleep.
I do have an insulated french press as the glass ones lose heat faster than I can drink my coffee.
We have a semi-industrial Bunn. LOVE it. Lasts for years and years, and it only takes about 90 seconds to make a pot. I wouldn't recommend this unless you make coffee nearly everyday , because it holds water in the chamber.

We used to have a Cuisinart Grind & Brew and I really wasn't a fan. We had to remove the beans and clean the entire thing regularly or it would overtop and we'd have coffee all over our counter. The grinding wouldn't wake H or the kids up, but it definitely woke me up. I think we had it for about 4 years before we got rid of it. We now just have a fairly basic Hamilton Beach maker and have been happy with it.
At work I use a french press. At home I have one that can either do single cup or a full pot. The single cup side can either be kcups or just regular grind with a little basket. I love it.
