L has super chapped cheeks from drooling at night. What can I put on them? I hesitate to use medicine of any kind because her hands are always on her face and then in her mouth...
Bag balm works wonders. DD2 likes to suck on her bottom lip. It made it all chapped. I put some bag balm on it at night before bed for two nights and it cleared up.
CIO people - do your kids still cry after you've "trained?" DS usually screams for 10 minutes a night (LOUDly). Going in makes it 14437996432368 times worse so we don't do that.
Yes. Some days she goes down with no fuss and others she cries loudly. I follow what Troublesome Tots says - no kid ever likes going to bed lol. So I figure she just needs some time to let it all out and settle down before going to sleep. She usually stops within 10 minutes.
aqualuv totally normal! Right around 6 weeks, DS started pooping MUCH less frequently. kaycee yes to socks - it gets friggin cold here. hockeywife my kid was not into solid food for a while - I think he was only eating an oz or two? But I would feed until he wouldn't eat anymore.
I have one! My DS has been leaking out of his diapers lately, which I know means to size up...but is it possible he really needs a SIZE 5 at a year?? He's not a giant kid - 23 lbs or so and maybe 31 inches.
LO is 3 months old. We are starting to work on ditching the swaddle. When can we give her a blanket or ovey of some sort to have in the crib with her? Any tips for ditching the swaddle?

I don't see why not. DD is 1 year and on Monday she was 22 lbs 11 oz and 29.5 inches. Size 4s fit her well but I do put her in Size 5 overnights, and they're not ridiculously huge on her.

Are nightmares a "thing" for 1-year-olds? DD's woken up in the MOTN the last few nights with some weird behavior - crying and standing up in her crib but then she just plops right down and falls asleep as if nothing happened. I don't think she's sick and while she is teething, she's never done this while teething before.
When did your kid learn to use a spoon? DS will not let me feed him. He eats rice with his hands and 3/4 of it winds up on the floor. Tantrum ensues if I attempt to put a spoon near his mouth.

We are going out to dinner without the baby for the first time since DD was born and I don't know how much milk to make sure I have. We'll be gone from about 5-9, maybe 10. She's a month old and usually eats a lot during the evening. I've been having a hard time getting pumping sessions in, so don't have a huge supply. Any help on how much to make sure I have pumped?

We just did this. I started with naps, swaddling with arms out, and kept her in her Woombie at night. Once her naps went back to normal (about a week), I did bedtime. It took longer than normal for her to settle down for a few days, but all in all, it wasn't bad. She was already rolling to her belly, though, too, so I had no choice. Good luck!

My kid did that for a LONG time, ever night and nap time. Even now, at 3, he often cries for 2 minutes when I leave the room.

Yes, she is so stubborn. She will cry, look at the door, scream, push the mesh bumper down to peek out, scream, rinse and repeat. She has only gone to bed at night without crying a handful of times.

I don't think you can give a blanket for a while. Get a halo sleepsack and start swaddling with one arm out and then 2. Dd still uses sleepsacks at 7.5 months.

I would have on hand (2) 3 oz. or 4 oz. bottles. Enjoy your dinner!
Is anyone here left handed? Dd1 is, but I'm right handed. How do you tie your shoes? Which hand do you hold the loop with? I'm trying to teach her the way i do it and it's not working. I wonder if its backward to her.

Thank you. Logically, this makes sense but mentally I'm like "HE'LL BE IN SIZE 6 AT 15 MONTHS! AND I'LL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO MOVE HIM TO DEPENDS AT 2!!"
How do formula checks work? Can I use more than 1 per container? How does the cashier take the $5 off? There is no barcode. I am totally confused.
I have always used them as 1 per container but I have heard of other stacking so you could always ask. They process it like a check, I think at Target it is called rebate check. They just manually enter the $5 amount or whatever. You can definitely stack a manufacturer coupon on top of the check though too.

I'm wondering this too. I think so. The last two nights my daughter has woken up in the middle of the night screaming for no reason. It really breaks my heart.

Thanks rbpohmygoodnessjamer for reassuring me that this is normal. I feel like I am on poop watch, ever time we change him, it's like did he poop?! Lol.
Yeah we were totally like this during and after M's five-day stretch. Who knew that poop (and its color, consistency, and amount) would be such a frequent conversation topic?
Haha, I feel for you, because DH and I are both left-handed, and we wonder what we'll do if DS is right-handed! For exactly reasons like these.
I hold the first loop with my right hand, but I'm not sure how much handedness comes into play there. Maybe look up the TED talk on YouTube on tying shoes. I just do it that way now.
We can trade kids for they day when it comes time to tie shoes and other things. We think C is going to be left handed. Is G grabbing with his right hand?
Haha. G is primarily using each hand for different things. We have awhile before handedness should show up!
How long does this last? It's getting so hard to do anything.
I think a month or so? It wasnt horrible the whole time, it went in waves and spurts. He mostly only wanted me which was exhausting. I pulled out the ergo and used it a lot of evenings to get dinner ready. It was a tough phase, hang in there!
