Mine was awesome! We left early for the trip so we got two full days at the zoo. I was a little nervous not having the BF along to help out with stuff but the hobo who came along was super helpful and fun to hang out with. My mom and I got to talk a lot and it was nice catching up without people in the way. I ate salad and cheese bread at my favorite restaurant.
My weekend was pretty uneventful. Worked all day Saturday, but my brother and his wife stopped by and we went on my lunch break together to get awesome Mediterranean food.
Yesterday I was battling anxiety, and didn't do a whole lot. Made dinner, baked banana bread, and watched Netflix mostly. I did get enough done that I felt accomplished though.
The wedding is over! And it went off without a hitch!
The whole thing was flawless! We were ahead of schedule the entire day. Everyone told me how lovely it was.
Sunday, hubby and I slept in, ate all the things and then went home, climbed into bed with the dogs and took a nap. A weight has been lifted!
I'm glad you got compliments on the day. Even if they weren't exactly attributing it to your hard work, it's nice to get affirmation that you did a good job of keeping everything together.

Weekend was pretty good.
I think we watched a movie Friday night. H wasn't feeling too well. Oh, and I paid bills. Woo.
Saturday we put together the makings of a casserole for my sister then I took it to her and hung out with her and the little one for a couple hours.
Sunday - went on a shopping spree! I only spent like $275 and got 2 pair of pants, 2 pair of shoes, 2 skirts, some tights and a few shirts. Then I met up with my work BFF for a homecoming event.
The zoo sounds fun, and I love me some cheese bread! I'm glad the hobo was fun to hang out with.
Saturday morning I went for my run and it was in the 40s and raining. I only made it 5.5 miles before my knee just couldn't take it. I haven't had that pain before, so that sucked. I stopped someone with a phone to call DH to pick me up. We skipped the 1st birthday party we were supposed to go to and we worked an event on Saturday night, and I think we're quitting that side job. It's just not worth the hassle.
Sunday was the bridal shower I was excited to host, but stressed about, and only 6 people showed up (16 said they were coming). I felt terrible for the bride. Her mom didn't even come. There was A LOT of left over food, which is typical, but man...

Why am I not looking at animal pictures right now?
We had a pretty good weekend! Saturday we went to our bff's house and they made an awesome dinner. Our other friends from Boston were over, so it was nice to catch up. I drank too much vodka and had a tiny hangover on Sunday.

Ugh, that's too bad.
My weekend was good-- very relaxing. Friday night G got home late so we just had a bottle of wine and hung out at home. Saturday we ran some errands then went to a cider festival all day. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a bunch of local hard cider and honey. Afterward we went to our friends' house for Peruvian food and card games. Yesterday we had friends over to watch football and the O's playoff game and G smoked a pork shoulder that was amazing.

milsaroo that is too bad for the bride. Not even her own mother!? So sad.
Friday i went to BFF's house. It was SO great catching up with her but we had to hang out outside since the living room is next to the kids bedroom and she likes to get out of bed and bother us. So we sat outside under a canopy in the cold drizzling rain. I had on so many layers (including 2 pairs of pants) and was still cold.
Saturday we were supposed to go to the Renn faire, but it was also a crappy day. Raining, cold, wet wet wet. So instead we ran some errands, went to an awesome upscale burger joint and then to the casino to the cigar bar.
Sunday just more errands in the day then sat outside on the deck listening to music, drinking. Jay cooked, then grilled some baby back ribs. Plus the Patriots won and shut up a lot of the media about how crappy they've been looking. (Which, they have been.)

This is always like my biggest fear when having a GTG or party of any kind. It makes me so depressed when it happens like that.

I generally don't take zoo pics but I happened to take a few hundred since the kids didn't go with me and they asked me to take a ton so they could see. I'm sure I'll FB them soon.
I got to pet a rabbit that was being carried around by a zoo employee and thought of you!
My weekend was relaxing and low key - just what I needed!
Friday I ordered Chinese food (I never order takeout anymore) and watched TV. Saturday I picked up my CSA share, did some cleaning, got a pedicure, and made an experimental roasted squash soup that came out amazing. Sunday I wasn't feeling great and my eyes were all puffy, so I just napped, cooked dinner and watched Dallas Buyers Club.

Weekend was okay, wish my teams would have won but that's alright.
The sports massage with the biofreeze was really nice, I think she really did help the area that I keep getting tension knots building up and I'm still feeling a little bit sore today from her work. Went to BFF's house Saturday night and had a good time chatting, eating, and hanging out over there. They made some quesadillas and fajitas for everyone and I brought over a salad, fruit, and choc chip cookies to contribute.
Yesterday my mom got in touch with her half-brother that she'd been searching for over the past couple of decades. There was a match on inquiries related to ancestry.com and she finally found the family she knew about but had never met! I wasn't there for the call but she did a Skype conversation with the half-brother and his wife, and they have two children around my age so I have an uncle and a couple of cousins to meet hopefully one day! She said they did hit it off pretty well and were able to piece together the gaps in information they had both been missing and want to meet sometime in the near future. She said the "new" cousins were excited to find out all of this because they didn't have any family connections through that side of the tree, so basically we are it! I guess it's never too late to reconnect with family, even if you didn't know they existed.
