Sorry the travel photo PIP is a bit late this time. I was drunk! Not really. Actually I was on my way back from our family reunion cruise in California, where I was the sober driver during our port call in Santa Barbara wine country (and our stressed driver getting back to the ship in slow-moving traffic). So since I'm running late and just wrote a TripAdvisor review for a very pretty winery, I'm inspired to lazily make the next theme:
Wine & Wine Country
Even if you don't have any vineyard views or barrel room backgrounds, you can still share pictures of a toast on the terrace or a carafe at a cafe.
Okay I might have gone overboard* with the alliteration there, but don't whine** too much! I'm tired! Probably jet lag. And a cold.
*Attempted cruise pun. **Attempted wine pun. ***Just be glad I scrapped "I might have gone overboard-eaux." Yeah, I'm that tired.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain
I had a bunch more winery pics, but I want to avoid PIPing photos with friends in them, who don't get a chance to yay or nay their pics on the interwebs. I got married at one winery and did a wine tour at others for my bachelorette.
ETA: oh, here's one from the tasting room of just us:

I went to some great places but didnt have a good camera (just my iphone. I have hundreds of awesome pictures but they would've been better with a real camera.
Napa Area-- Carneros Inn Greeting... they give you a glass of wine at check-in and then you drive to your bungalow.
Beijing, China Interesting, but clearly not the most beautiful wineries in the world! Especially in winter!
Funchal, Madeira Pour-it-yourself madeira tastings? Don't mind if I do!
Lanzarote, Canary Islands Not a great picture, but I thought it was really interesting how they manage to grow the grapes on the volcanic terrain. (The wines themselves were far less interesting than the vineyards.)
Margaret River, Australia My favorite wine touring destination so far! Fantastic if you like blended reds.
Sonoma, California A token picture from our Sonoma visit.
Moselle Valley, Luxembourg Probably my second favorite. A beautiful area with wonderful dry Rieslings.
Villány, Hungary A very different experience. The wineries operate more like wine bars, where you buy a glass at a time instead of a taste. And if you ask for a bottle, they assume you want to open it and drink it there!
