DH needs to be in London January 9th but we need to be in San Antonio Jan 12th. The dogs would be staying with my parents while we're in England. Here's DH's thought process: Fly out of London and arrive in El Paso Jan 9th at 9pm. Stay with my parents 9th-10th Drive to San Antonio on the 11th. Takes about 8 hours. DH has to be at work in San Antonio at 7am.
I'm worried that the jet lag will hit us on the 2nd day (usually does) but I also don't want to leave immediately the next day, either.
Oh, and I'm going with him to London. There's no question on that.
I think you would be ok. I'd leave late morning on the 11th and take your time getting there. Stop and rest for awhile if needed. Do you have any other options?
Jet lag, schmet lag. Just do it! FWIW, my H travels a lot internationally and finds that taking an Advil PM or similar a night or two after he gets back gets him right back on track and out of the jet leg.

Not really, unless I drive by myself to SA and DH just flies straight in. I really hate that drive with a passion, though.
I would not do it. The stretch between El Paso and San Antonio is so empty and boring and there's not a lot of places to stop for food or pee. It'd be worth it for me to fly.
Never mind, I saw that you'll have the dogs and clothes. I'd break it up if possible.
