went in today (cd13) for an ultrasound. I have two good sized follicles, 20mm and 23mm. got my trigger shot and we'll be going in tomorrow for IUI.

I'm nervous. I know a lot of people who did multiple rounds of IUI with no success but then my sister was successful with her first one.

here's hoping we get a baby this month!

I didn't think IUI would work for me at all, I just had to do 2 rounds before insurance would cover IVF. I got pregnant the first IUI.

for some reason I was reeeaaalllly nervous, but it was pretty easy. I think the nerves are more like, I really hope this works rather than being nervous about the procedure.

we went to the fertility clinic and DH gave his sample. they washed it while we went to lunch and it was ready an hour later. we drove it over to my doctor (I kept it in my bra so it stayed as close to body temperature as possible) and it was inseminated. from the time we picked it up to insemination was about 90 minutes. if you've had an HSG done, it feels very similar, but not as much cramping because they're only injecting 1-2cc instead of a bunch of dye or saline. afterwards she had me lay down on the table with my hips up for 10-15 minutes. then we were done.

I go back next Wednesday for a progesterone draw.
