Good morning! DD and I just went to DD (ha!) and got bagels. She has dance in a bit, then I am coming home to start working on our guest room. It's our catch all room, and its full to the brim. I need to get it cleaned out before the ILs come for TG. I figure if I start now it won't be so overwhelming.
I don't want to be awake right now! I work at 11:30 so I'm just laying here for now. H went to his parents house already to help his dad with some stuff. I can't wait to have my weekends back for good in the next month or so!
I'm in a funk I need to snap out of. We have made so much progress at the house which has been wonderful, but I'm beating myself up that I didn't get any packing done this week. I just need this house to be done so it's not always on my mind anymore!
Pup decided this week that he just has to sleep upstairs with us at night, instead of downstairs like he has since last August. We may have made a mistake last Friday and let him up with us, since we felt bad about leaving him home alone after he was at daycare all day. Now he whines at the bottom of the stairs til we let him up. He's fine when he's finally up on the bed, he'll just cuddle one of us all night- the issue is that he takes up so much space!
But, he slept in with us until after 8, so that was a good start. I've got hard boiled eggs cooking for my breakfast, and a tub of frosting coming to room temp so I can frost a cake. It's a homework/grading day today until we go to my mom's for dinner tonight.
I just finished breakfast while H takes the dog to doggie daycare. We have so much stuff to get done around the house, but I don't want to get up off the couch.
I need to get started though because we're going to a friend's house tonight and I'm making sausage balls before we leave .
Morning! DH just got up so we will be going out in a few to get his hair cut. This evening we have a fireworks club shoot. It's the coldest night of the week of course. I need to find my thermals so I can bundle up.
I was going to go to Aquacise this morning but it ended up being cancelled. So I used the treadmill for awhile and then did my own thing in the pool.
I want to go for a walk along the canal later- it's chilly out but the rain has stopped so I'm trying to talk DH into it. There's a cute little cafe that I want to get lunch at. IDK, we'll see
grover- could you maybe get a dog bed for the floor beside your bed. (We have like 1 1/2-2 feet of room and we squish a bed in there.) we have the pup trained that he can sleep there in our room or he gets the couch. We don't want him on the bed because he takes up so much space.

We had a late night last night so we're taking it easy before having some friends over for dinner tonight. So far all we've done is eat and shower/bathe the kid. It's raining so our plans to go to a farm were cancelled.
spankswife Our guest room is a catch all room too. It's not as bad as usual, you can see the bed lol. I need to start cleaning it. I would like to have a girl's weekend with her but don't think she would like to sleep on the couch.
awick14 We've gone through two or three dog beds, from an expensive "chew destructible" $100 one to a cheaper one that was big enough....he tears them apart and eats them. We tried again when he was sedated after his neuter... still tore it to shreds. He has a blanket that he carries around, and he'll lay with it on the floor by the bed, but then he will start chewing on the floor rug or try to eat the drywall around the door in the middle of the night. H said he'd get on with finishing the trim in that room so he will stop trying to attack the drywall, but H hasn't gotten around to it yet. But, Moo is getting really good at staying in one spot all night- we just have to shove him into the spot we want him and then we're good!
grover- do you have a Costco near you? They have good dog beds that are cheap, $30 for a large bed. I'm not sure if we just bought it when he was done his chewing bed phase or if the beds a better quality. But we have multiple beds in the house and we will be buying one in the spring to go in our new trailer.
How old is he again?
Pic of bed, with a 60lb med size pup on it, so large enough for a bigger dog.
awick14 He's 17 months today, so still kind of young. He's stopped chewing for attention (up until around 1 year he'd chew while staring at us if he felt like we were ignoring him). However, we have to crate him during the work day because he will chew when bored. We have started leaving him out for short periods of time while we run errands or do dinner out. Overnights downstairs he won't chew and he won't chew if he's actually in bed with us. Just if he's on the floor with the unfinished baseboards upstairs.
We have a costco down the street, but we aren't members. Maybe I'll join there since our Sam's membership ended or I'll see if I can take a trip with my grandpa soon. $30 isn't too bad. We have one we recently bought off ebay that is a crate mat, but he humps it before trying to chew it. (He had the small version as a puppy that he wouldn't eat, but it was his love pillow that would be the only thing he'd ever hump.)

We're taking it easy today, mainly packing up the car & watching football. I haven't been feeling great the last few days so I've been throwing back the medicine and just trying to rest.
I want it to be Monday already so we can go find an apartment! I'll feel a lot better when that's done.
It's wedding day! So far so good. We are in between ceremony and reception. We have already been to the bar so life is good. Ceremony was beautiful, can't wait for the rest of the day
