We woke up to snow here this morning and ds was totally amazed by it. Walking into daycare he kept putting his hand out to feel it fall and kept pointing and saying "wowwww mama!"
Love him. And it made me stop and see how peaceful and beautiful it is.
V has started doing this with rain/puddles. This is equal parts adorable and annoying, since we live in Seattle. Hopefully puddles will get less interesting quickly
I got our family photos back. OMG, all of the weight I have gained this pregnancy has gone to my 5 chins and my thighs. Yuck, yuck, yuck. Note to self: never have photos taken again at the awkward, thick, 15 weeks pregnant with #2 stage.

My BFF is in labor! Her H just text me to say it won't be long now. I am so excited for her, we've been besties since the first day of first grade! Our daughters will be a year apart, roughly. Squeeee! (Newborn cuddles without the MOTN wakings and pp recovery are in my near future! lol)
I really enjoy my kid lately. The 15-18 month time was horrendous. But now she's just so funny, happy and talks ALL the time. I can barely understand half of what she says. The rest just sounds like real words that I can't understand.
The talking is getting annoying though. Like yesterday I asked if she'd like more cake. She said "more cake" and kept repeating it the whole time that I was cutting her a slice. I get it, you want more cake. Now just be quiet and wait for 10 seconds, kiddo.
I am so excited! I went to the semi-annual consignment sale on opening day weekend before last, found lots of good stuff. But several maternity shirts I wanted were overpriced, like $15-$20 for used shirts (WTF). Well I went back today on 50% off day, and they were all still there! I got 7 shirts and a pair of jeans for $33! So now I have an entire maternity wardrobe for $90 total. 4 t-shirts, a few 3/4 shirts (my fav!), 5 long sleeve shirts, 4 pairs of jeans, a pair of slacks for church, and 3 sweaters. I am STOKED! I'm 18 weeks and none of my regular clothes fit anymore.

We had some errands to run today. I'm the way home Nods started asking to go to the park. I'm not sure what gave her that idea, but it's a nice day so I figured we would go. There is a really neat toddler sized Park, but it was closed when we got there, so we ended up at our neighborhood park. We had a blast, but Nods totally melted doyen when we had to leave and continued crying for like 30 minutes after we got home. Why did she have to ruin a good time?

I'm annoyed at my friend so I'm going to vent here instead of taking it out on him because he has been going through a lot of shit lately. He's such an asshole. Like, I like him as a person but man, his entire world revolves around himself. He only talks to me when he needs advice or to know something work related (he doesn't work with me anymore but we're in the same industry). This may sound petty, but he is on FB all the time and never likes anything I put up of DD but will like every single non-kid related thing our other friends put up. He IMed me with a work question today and I said "Not even a hello? How are you? Your kid is cute?" and he said "I refuse to talk about kids. Until I have one and then I'll probably turn into one of you"
C has been sleeping on me pretty much all day. Not sure why he's so sleepy but since I go back to work next week I am soaking up the snuggles and refuse to put him down and be productive. The bad part of this is that I haven't eaten lunch and am starving. The only thing in my reach is candy corn and I already ate all the pumpkins from the bag.
Total FWP: I have a $25 West Elm GC to spend. There is, like, nothing at West Elm under $25 that I want and I don't want to pay $$$ OOP. I may just buy a storage basket to have the damn thing out of my wallet.
Christmas ornaments! You can also use it at Williams Sonoma or PB or PB Kids if all else fails.

You know what sucks when you have nerve pain in your foot. ..dropping an all clad pot on it. I may have screamed and drop to the for. Ds aalways empathetic told me he stepped on a rock and i was ok
Fingers crossed for you. I'm a week behind you and was also induced with my first. I have the same concerns and suck at timing contractions - until this pregnancy I never had any on my own.
Fingers crossed you made progress!
I' m glad to have someone to commiserate with! Have you been checked yet? Did your dr give you any indication that you will be induced this time too? I almost wouldn't mind being induced as long as I don't have to wait til 42 weeks! I have a different dr ( we moved) and they seem more into waiting then my first was.
I was only because I was going OOT last week. I was 3-4 cm dilated, 80% effaced and at station -1. I had a really bad induction last time (reaction), so I really want to avoid that. I'm willing to try membrane sweep, if necessary. I just wish my body had gone into labor.

At 24 months, puddles are still one of E's FAVORITE things. He gets very upset if he's not allowed to splash in at least one puddle when they're around, and has also been known to get upset due to lack of puddles.

We bought a new front door last week, and I called today to ask about our installation date. He guy said that he had been thinking of us all day. Um, thanks? I didn't even say my name when I called!

I asked for a membrane sweep today but they wouldn't because I'm group B strep positive. . I did dilate more ( to 4) and I'm thin and low but they scheduled my induction for next Friday 41 weeks.....it seems soooo far away and I really hope she comes before then. I had a textbook induction but I know natural labor is obviously the way to go. Again in just worried I have no clue when to be worried and when to go to the hospital! Im drinking some raspberry tea as we speak, and tomorrow I'm walking everywhere!

Your making progress! I'm also drinking raspberry tea now. My mom arrives on Wednesday to be able to watch DS and help. I told DH we're having sex with the goal of labor Wednesday night! Romance is in the air in the tea household! LOL...

Good luck!
Good idea! That's what the midwife suggested, I just feel sooooooo unsexy it's hard to get in the mood but I'll do anything right? Hopefully that works dor you! My parents came this weekend to watch DS and I feel like that is part of my "anxiety" in wanting her to come! I love having them here but this house Is smaller than our old place and the thought of waiting another 11 days, just hanging around. It does help me relax knowing DS is taken care of!
