Has anyone used Hotwire to book an All Inclusive?

First, I owe an overdue thanks for help when we were planning our trip to Brazil. I promise I didn't forget, but time REALLY got away from me.


We got a great deal on tickets to Cancun for my spring break and want to stay in an AI and just relax for a week. We are kind of on a budget however and I would like to stretch our money if we can. I am tempted to book an AI in Playa del Carmen, but have never done this at a hotel that I will actually be spending a lot of time in.


Has anyone done this and had success? 

If not do you think if would be better to wait and hope prices drop?
