Not really. Now that she's older we do more, but I really like to concentrate on driving. I'm a bit of an anxious driver and get in a driving zone of sorts lol.
Plus most of her talking is wanting me to turn around and look at something. Look at my shoes! Look at this boo-boo! Is there a seed in my teeth? Dude. Shhhh.
I did with DD as a baby. Now that she's 3 she can't easily be ignored so we talk alot. The baby picks up on that and I'm sure is learning all sorts of random stuff. When it's just the baby and I only talk when he's fussy. I know better now. Relish the silence.
lol, no. i talk to L if she says hi to me or says mama. otherwise i let npr or a podcast do the talking. L has a couple of car-only soft toys and she amuses herself.
with older kids i just respond to them when they talk to me.

Yep all the time. We talk about his day, where we're going what we're going to do when we get home, things we see, his friends, fairly, etc. I talk to him pretty much wherever we are - at home, in the car, shopping, etc.
When he was younger I didn't talk as much because often I wanted him to fall asleep. I also sang to him when he was fussy. I don't sing now though, he prefers to listen to his music in silence.
I rarely listen to regular radio when he's around, just toddler music.
