I have 2 from this collection, flesh eating bacteria (which has a knife and fork on the bacteria), or sleeping sickness, where the microbe is sleeping.
In real life, probably Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans......because I have worked so much with it!
Ah.. every periodontist's nightmare!
Yep. Along with a whole lot of other ones.
I did perio research in my other life, but unfortunately I really should not risk working with microbes anymore.
It can go with my crocheted liver and my 3D printed liver!
You have an obsession with liver. I like it.
I have a rubber one on my desk too. My friend is the one who crocheted the liver and bought that one. She likes to "keep me in livers in case mine fails." She's good people.

Why not!!!
3 years ago in Dec. I managed to infect both my hip replacements. The infection was NOT caused by my job, but because I had such an overwhelming infection, I am at much higher risk of getting reinfected. It also damn near killed me.
A year+ in a wheelchair, 4 orthopedic surgeries, massive quantities of physical therapy and a $750,000 hospital bill later, I can now walk badly for a very limited distance.
I have chosen not to take the risk, which means 30+ years of experience is down the tubes. So now I am crosstraining to a more sedentary job where I don't have to come in contact with large vats of microbes.
