I am freaking out! I was watching tv in the living room and out of the corner of my eye saw something move on the floor. It's a freaking mouse. My cat just watched it scurry by as I screamed from the couch. I called my H and he's picking up traps on his way home, but this is so disturbing to me. Omg!
Do yourself the biggest favour of your life and splurge on an exterminator. My guy put traps down with bait in them. They attract mice, the mice eat the poison and then they go die peacefully somewhere that I don't see. We have had exactly one mouse sighting in more than a year since the traps were laid down. PEACE. OF. MIND. It was $200 but it was worth every penny.

I am calling tomorrow. My H caught this one once he got home from work, but I lost years off my life waiting for him to get here. And my cat just sat and watched the whole thing.
I'm so sorry. I went through that at my workplace, it's finally getting better. If I could have I would have called a professional. I'm glad your husband caught that one, hopefully it's just one coming in because it's cold outside. My cat would be useless too!
This happened to us the first week we moved into our new house
I wanted to move the next day
Mh got a trap and killed the guy
To this day I remember him going down in the am to check the trap and the profanities he yelled
I guess it was repulsive
I hate rats and ticks ticks and rats
I would not be able to stomach a trap. The thought of having to pick up a trap and open it up so I can dispose of a dead mouse gives me the heebie jeebies! I can't even stand the thought of coming across a successful trap and having to wait for DH to do the dirty work!

We got traps that were like a little house. You never saw what was inside!

The electric traps are the best. You don't have to see the mouse, and it is a fast and effective kill. I don't know what my cats would do. Considering one looked at me for help when he came across a spider and another ran away from a large ant, I am not confident on their ability to take care of a mouse lol

The one mouse we had didn't get the "go die somewhere peacefully" memo lol. It crawled to the edge of the couch and croaked. Oh and years ago, I had one crawl slowly to the middle of the living room and keel over. It's like it was putting on a final show lol.
Mice freak me out. Get some poison or something STAT!
We pulled into the garage last night and MH thought he saw a mouse running around. At least it's just the garage, but our garage is attached, so they could get into the house. We had a few last winter, we caught 5-6. It totally grosses me out too. We used snap traps and just threw them out with the mouse still inside. We've used glue traps as well, but they take awhile to die in those. We also put out some of the ones where the mouse crawls inside and it just closes up so you don't have to see them.... but we neve caught one in this type. Good luck!

Well, we didn't catch any more in the traps over night. I'm praying it was just that one mouse. I've vacuumed and cleaned every possible surface. I feel like I'm on high alert!
