My two year old is standing up in my brother's wedding tomorrow. The ceremony starts at 2 PM which is right when my little guy usually naps.
Would my best option be to let him sleep in late tomorrow morning and cross my fingers for 9 AM? Wake him up early at seven or 7:30 AM and lay him down for a nap at 11 and 1130 in the morning? Try to squeeze in a nap at the hotel room between the ceremony at 2 PM and the cocktail hour at 5 PM? The reception goes until 11 pm

My toddler never sleeps on command, so my only option would be let her wake at her normal time and then try to sneak a nap in between the ceremony and reception. Your toddler may be much more cooperative about sleep than mine, though.

Early naps never work for us. I would push back. DS also can go sans naps at crazy events like weddings because there is so much for him to do. He doesn't notice he is tired I guess.
DS is just at the point where he can skip a nap at almost 3. He will NEVER nap early. I would push through and try to get him to nap before the reception. See the " Catholic Gap" is considerate people. It should be renamed the " Catholic Nap"!

This was us last weekend. He woke when he woke up and we pushed through. Following the wedding, we drove around in the car and he slept got 45 minutes before the reception.
