I'd wait until next week. If you've already reiterated your interest once this week, I don't think doing it again will help you any.
Did they give you any sort of timeline on when to expect a response? If not, I guess it couldn't hurt to ask the recruiter. Even asking that today is probably ok (assuming they have been friendly and told you they are happy to answer questions).
Yes, thank you emails were sent earlier this week.
I reached out, he replied and said he was gathering feedback from the team and would reach out soon.
So.... Kinda sounds like maybe won't happen for me. On the plus side I already have 2 interviews lined up for when I'm back in SD next month.
Eta -- in my experience I've had a very short window from interview to offer.... I'm talking 95% of my employment offers (over 2 dozen in 12 years of working) has been made within a week of the interview. I'm not good with being patient. Especially when I really want something....
That isn't a "won't happen for me" response, at all. That's a "I have no idea because we haven't made decisions yet" response.
Hold out hope, and be patient. This is the corporate job, right? With these types of things sometimes good news (or bad news) doesn't come for weeks.
Lol. It does, but I'm trying to not get my hopes up.
Also, yes it is corporate but so is practically every other job I've had. I've never waited more than a week from interview to offer. Even with larger corporations such as this one.
On the plus side, negotiating a mid November start time will be easier if the offer comes next week.
Slow your roll. I have hired over 50 people over the years as a hiring manager for corporations. Not one offer has been made within the same week as the interview. I would be annoyed by someone emailing me three days after a thank you email.
Thank you emails were sent to a different person.... The follow up was sent to the recruiter.
Plus, like I said, I'm basing it off my personal experience..... Which has been offers within a week of the interview. So technically, I have until Tuesday.
I'm just ansty and eager to hear back.
I feel better though sine he responded. Put my mind at ease. :-)
Now, if i sent a text to the hiring manager I'd slap my own self. Lol.
