When my mom was younger and still living with my grandparents, they had a neighbor who let their dog bark for hours on end in the middle of the night. One night, my grandma got so fed up she called the neighbor at 3am and when they picked up she started barking at them. They never let the dog bark outside again. So, do you have their phone number? lolol
I hate these people for you. I have barky pups and before the second bark has escaped their annoying little mouths my ass is on its way to getting them inside. I'll never understand how people can hear their dogs barking and it not bother them.
My neighbor does this, too. She lets her yappy dogs outside for long periods of time. These dogs bark at leaves on our tree lined street. Bugs. Noise. Each other. Air. Last week she let them out at 5am. Our bedroom window is about eight feet from her back door. I wanted to throw something at her. I'd never wish harm to the dogs; it's not their fault they haven't been trained. The neighbor, however, is not on my list of favorite people.

My neighbors have let their dog do this at night. I don't understand how they can sleep -- I certainly can't!
The last time it happened, I went outside and told their dog to quit barking. She did, lol, and went inside (dog door).
The thing that really irritated me is that when it happened on a weeknight, they hushed her immediately. But apparently on the weekends it's fine for her to bark for an hour at 1 a.m.!?!?!?
We are at war with our neighbors who let their barking dog out every morning at 6 am. My husband works evenings and goes to bed around 5 and their dog run is almost directly outside our bedroom window. My husband has been known to open the window and scream like a lunatic. We've tried talking to them, leaving notes and calling the town. We dream about moving and it's because of that damn dog
