which carseats do you have? Friend is trying to decide what convertibles to get but since they need 2 for each car it is adding up quick. What did you decide on?
We went with 2 NextFits- there was a promo code at Albee Baby when I ordered (I think 20% off?) plus they have free shipping and I didn't have to pay sales tax.
We have Nextfits we got back when Target had the deal. I think size of car and if a 3rd kid could be in the picture would have a big impact in the car seat decision.
Unless they're planning on a third, it really doesn't matter. We used Chicco for infant seats, for convertibles I had Safety 1st in my car, Evenflo in H's and Cosco's in my mom's. I recently switched to 5 point boosters (since I had to replace mine after an accident) and got Evenflos. We do nicer ones in my car since it's the primary car they're in.
no future kids. They have a mini van and some kind of sedan, can't remember but I know it's a 4 door.
I'm encouraging her to get some of the cheaper/basic ones for his car and more comfortable ones for the minivan since they will travel in that one.
I would definitely recommend this. We only have one set of car seats (the girls aren't in daycare so we just move the seats when we want to use H's vehicle).
My mom bought some cheap evenflo seats for when she watches the girls- I think they were around $100 a piece. The Nextfits are definitely more plus, but they typically don't travel for more than 20-30 minutes with my mom.

We have two Marathons in our van. In our Honda Fit, we originally had two Cosco Sceneras but DS1 outgrew that FFing very early (by 3 years old) so we switched to Radians, which is what I wish I went with originally. I love our Marathons and Radians.
We have Radians in my car- you can sometimes get a good deal at kohls with a discount code and when kohls cash is being offered. For the nanny's car we have Safety First onside airs. They fit three in a row in a small SUV and DH has the evenflo Maestro (extended cab ford truck)
Radians. We needed 3 across in the crv and it was the only option (that we know of) other configurations may work but we knew this to be easiest for 3 rear facing. We also just really like them so will be getting them for the minivan too when they outgrow the chicco keyfits.
I like being back to sit with them in certain cases and carry Grandma occasionally. They are middle and passenger side.
We have an Outback and a Corolla. They're RF right now with Angle adjusters.
What is an angle adjuster? We bought a Radian for my youngest so we could fit all three kids across in our Focus in a pinch. We currently have it installed in one of the captain seats in our Odyssey and the top of the seat goes so far back, that the front passenger seat has to be moved all the way forward. We haven't even attempted it in the car, because the angle would never fit.
