2 of our godchildren had siblings born in their families this year. We don't give to most if our friends children, just to our godchildren. When we do, do we also give something to their siblings. Christmas and/ or birthdays. I think we should, but we are expecting next year and I don't want their parents to feel obligated to give to our son or daughter
I would for Christmas because I couldn't show up with a present for one kid and not the other.
ETA: I probably would for birthdays too because if I am close enough to be Godparent, I'm close enough to get all of their children a birthday present.
I would give to all the children but if you know the godparents of their siblings, maybe you can coordinate so that each child gets a gift from their own godparent but not their sibling's godparent. That way everyone is getting equal gifts.
I just give to the godchild. I guess in the circle I run the other kids all have godparents to buy them presents so I never saw the need. No one I know does this actually.
