I started in the last few days. I always see something online or while shopping and think "I'll get that later." Then December rolls around and I'm stuck in holiday traffic or crowds! My goal is to not have that happen this year.
Also, my coworker reminded me we have less weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year--so can't hurt to tackle early!

Yes, I'm about 1/3 way done and have ideas for almost everyone else. My goal is to be done by Cyber Monday this year. I'm usually an early shopper but with being pregnant this year, I want to be done even earlier.
I don't know what I'm getting my parents or in-laws yet, but they usually give me some idea. I wanted to give my sister a Kindle, but she said she doesn't need one. She is very picky about clothes and house stuff, so I started thinking about a Wen hair gift set? IDK. I can always do a giftcard if I can't come up with something.
Yep. I'm keeping a list on my phone as I get ideas. I've ordered a pair of shoes for my niece from Zulily (fx they get here in time) and bought a book for DH he requested. I'm going to get some stuff from Lush for my sil. I've considered some eye-shadow palettes for my sisters that I'll probably end up getting. That leaves... my nephew, my other niece, my bil, my other bil, and all 6 of my parents (my parents, step parents, and in laws).
To be honest, H and I don't usually buy gifts for anyone except for each other. His family doesn't do gift exchanges, my dad is more of a card person, my mom prefers that we do something together rather than buy her something, and my brother and I have had a rule against getting each other gifts since we were kids.
I have the list of people we are buying for yes. We pick names with my siblings so we only have to buy for one sibling, makes it A LOT cheaper. My H and I are only doing stocking stuffers this Christmas since we are doing bigger things that we need prior to Christmas. H's family doesn't really do a massive exchange so they won't be offended or anything if we don't do gifts with them this year. My parents we normally buy for, but this year we are trying to save a little money and they will like that as the best gift ever. So we are skipping them too! It'll be a little different for me since I LOVE buying and receiving gifts, but it will be good for the budget, I hope!
I will start X-Mas shopping within the next 2-3 weeks!
I have 5/11 gifts. I am hoping that all gifts will be bought asap. Last year I left most until December and I ended up just giving people money and I don't want to do that again this year.
(I also am able to take 4 people off my list as me and my siblings and significant others go out to dinner instead of buying each other gifts. We all live in the same town and never see each other, so it's a great gift to ourselves.)
-I bought my parents Texans mugs engraved with their names to go with the bottle of Crown that I always get them. -A cute Peanut (Charlie Brown) Christmas nightlight for FIL who loves all things Charlie Brown. -I'm planning on buying H a surround sound system for the game room. The speakers were already installed, I just need the system box but I'm pretty clueless on them. -I'll probably get my brother a bottle of alcohol because he loved getting Gentleman's Jack last time so why not? Lol -SIL1 is a little harder. Her annoying dog is her baby so maybe I'll find something really cute for the dog. -BIL is H's responsibility. -SIL 2 has similar style as me so I may do a cute necklace or something again this year. If not that then home decor. -I'll probably get something baby-related for my grandparents for their first great grandbaby. -No clue on MIL. H can ask what she wants. She'll usually let us know.
Question: My brother is proposing to a girl he's been dating for 4 months during Thanksgiving break. I've met her once and we didn't talk much. Thanksgiving will be the only other time I see her before they're engaged. FTR this is really weird for our family as we're all super close and think my brother is kind of an idiot. If she'll be around for Christmas, do I need to get her a gift? I literally don't know her. So weird.
I almost bought H's grandma a snuggie blanket that looked like an Elvis outfit because she loves Elvis and has stuff all over her house. I totally should have pulled the trigger.
Do y'all buy stuff for both extended families? H has 7 aunts and uncles plus 10 cousins on top of everyone listed. Christmas with his family involves 500 people with everyone getting everyone gifts. It's overwhelming. We can't travel this year so I think we'll limit it to immediate family.

I would probably get her a cute scarf or something. Something simple and easy.
We buy for:
My mom My brother My grandma
MIL FIL BIL his wife niece (age 7) niece (age 4, will be 5)
I also want to get something for my BFF's son. BFF and I exchanged gifts until last year and we decided we would switch to buying for each others kids. I will probably get her something small.
And of course DH and I exchange. We always spend the most on each other.
DH is in charge of his brother and dad, and I basically buy for everyone else on our list.

I have bought 1 complete gift. I know what I want to get H and his mom and my mom are going to help pay for it since it is a little pricey. MIL is getting a juicer. H takes care of his dad and brother. That leaves me with SIL, my parents, my brother and his wife, my goddaughter, and my best friend.
I was actually talking to DH about this yesterday lol. I haven't started but have started thinking about it and was going to maybe start looking next weekend.
I have no ideas. I struggle with shopping for my 4 brothers the most. I wish we would adopt a Dirty Santa exchange like we do with H's siblings and their spouses, but I think my siblings are all a little too young to pull it off.
I have three aunts that are child free and continue to buy for my brothers and I (and my H and now B) for every gift giving occasion. I'd like to stop exchanging but don't know how to bring it up. They're pretty much impossible to buy for because they have everything.
My mom said she wants clothes so that's easy enough. I'm going to ask if my mom/brothers want to chip in and get my dad a new iPhone. I usually get my niece something from Justice because she's obsessed. H is asking his brothers and sisters to chip in and get his parents a new TV, hoping to get a good Black Friday deal. So I don't have to worry about them. H and I will be assigned a Dirty Santa category on Thanksgiving for our exchange with his siblings and we will buy an appropriate present then. H and I don't exchange ourselves but instead try to go on some fun dates/a quick trip in lieu of presents. I'm not sure how that will work out this year with the baby but I'm sure we'll figure something out or just include her.
