Personally - I don't think I'd do ivory with that hardware because I don't like ivory and gold together. But that's just me. I'd probably do a super-deep navy.
i would just sand down the rough spots on the chewed edge and restain. just put that edge on a side where it's not as visible. stuff like that is the character of old furniture.
I think ivory with the sagey color will make one or both look off. They need to look more deliberate. I agree with Mrs J...navy would look nice, and I think would complement the dresser color nicely.

Yep, it's the paint color in the room that makes the dressers look so green. If you went with a more gray-green-blue hybrid, I'm guessing the dressers would read as more gray.
I stick with my navy recommendation - I like BM Hale Navy, personally. LOL
