That board always felt weird to me. Even as a mom who works FT. I feel like they literally just talk about daycare all the time.
And it felt weird to you because anything but working full time with your child either with a nanny or an accredited daycare center were deemed unacceptable.
And the busiest posters had the most important jobs. I mean, I know why I can waste hours a day on the internet.
Mommyattorney or whatever has been on my list ever since I noticed how often she uses the word "subordinates".
I always wondered what percent of her billable hours she rounded up and got paid for bumping...
Her distain for anyone who wasn't working 60 hours a week was palpable.
Remember when she said she was going to invite her "subordinates" to her kids first birthday? Oh god, I could hear them groaning all the way across the internet.
Seriously though, there were a handful of posters who just weren't having it if you worked part time or flex time or whatever. Lean in, bitches.
Mommyatty is a flat out bitch. Everyone knows that.
During one of the conversations about Lean In, she was saying how it spoke to her because it was really geared to people with her educational level, as opposed to someone (me?) who only worked PT.
Honey, I am quite literally swimming in friends with Ivy League degrees who have opted not to lean in. Luckily they married well

She's a snob and a half. (Did I just quote Clueless?)
I always looked down on her with that BS line of thinking because, well, one of my best friends who has kids is a lawyer with a degree from Harvard Law who works p/t. So, yeah.

Oy, I don't post there much because like Kimbus said, it's the same daycare discussion All.The.Time. Thanks. I work, I'm a mom, and I still have other things to talk about
