This is an UO I think. The thread about leaving/not leaving kids in the car made me annoyed. It seems like American society gets up in arms about trivial shit and NOT NEARLY riled enough about all the guns and school shootings makes me glad I left the US. Give me a few spiders and snakes any day, over lunatics with guns all over the place. Fuck.
Another friend had a baby, is sharing pics, weight, stats, etc and not sharing the name yet! I'm irrationally annoyed that I have to keep waiting to find out the baby's name. (I don't think it is a cultural/religious thing in the cases I'm referring to).

I would like to take this opportunity to begin my bi-yearly rant about the tine change. Why? Whhyyyyyyyyy? It is so stupid. It does not save money. The days naturally get shorter and longer on their own. There is no point. All it does it mess of sleep for those of us with early risers.
My alarm clock automatically time changed midweek. Luckily, I was Probing in the MOTN and noticed the time difference on my phone, so no one overslept. Insomnia FTW!

Yes x1000. America has some totally wrong priorities.

Like being completely freaked out by a nipple but allowing crazy violence on TV.
Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly loved my 10 years spent in the States. There are many great aspects of America. But the gun issue, it's tragic and if we still lived there it would be enough to make me leave.
My kids have radar for when I really need sleep. I got home around midnight last night and instead of sleeping past 7 as usual, Theo was awake at 6. Whyyyy. Now both of us are going to be miserable today. No early nap due to Max's school pickup.

I know right? It's so bizarre to me. Leave your kids in the car while you run in to pay for gas and have cps called on you
Fill your basement with guns? Don't feel like locking them up even though you have a kid? Meh.
I'm looking forward to the time change. It'll take a couple of days to get Andrew back on schedule, but I want it to not be dark when I get up in the morning. I'm a fan of natural light and try to keep the lights off in my house as much as possible. I HATE waking up with Andrew and having to turn on 16 different lights just to function. Then, an hour or so later, I have to go back through and turn everything back off. (Okay, I just counted in my head and it's only nine lights, but still!)
