DH and I are going in vacation (can't come soon enough!) in a few weeks. We are taking a seriously early flight and by seriously early I mean 4am! We don't fly much and not that early when we do. We have to be at the airport 1 hour early, so I am trying to figure out my beauty routine. I feel like I shouldn't leave the house that early without something on but we will be flying or at airports all day and into the evening so I want my makeup to last as long as possible. What do you recommend for makeup, either products or routine? I currently do a pretty full face most days (revlon colorstay whipped foundation in 110, MUFE, It cosmetics or NARs creamy concealer, TF shadow insurance eye primer, TF chocolate box or naked eye shadow, liner, mascara, nars orgasm blush, lip gloss). I also tend to have dry skin so I want to look hydrated despite the airplane air. What is your travel routine and what tips can you give me?
I don't wear a ton of make up but when I flew overnight, I went to the airport with tinted moisturizer and chapstick. Before landing I did my make up on the plane. That's the only tip I have.
That early, I use moisturizer and go and usually re-apply mid flight because the dryness kills my already dry skin. During the flight or in the bathroom at the airport when we arrive, I might add some color. Usually when I'm more awake.
Moisturizer, concealer and mascara. It's too early to worry about a full face. I've had 4 am check ins before on about 2 hours sleep and that's all I did. I'd carry on my makeup, all solids if possible of course, and apply more later if I wanted.
That early I would just throw on some moisturizer and go. Then while you are traveling you can add more makeup if you like. I mean you'll need something to do during the layovers, right?
This. I'd put on some bb cream and add on as I felt necessary. I'd probably also swipe on some mascara.
My routine is pretty minimal to begin with and I usually can't sleep before a flight anyways so I do my version of a full face. I do tinted moisturizer, a little loose powder , blush and mascara.
