Lol okay I get that. My mom says she is republican then when you ask her specific questions she almost always answers close to how a democrat would.
He does like guns though. But that I'm OK with. He doesn't have, like, a gun stockpile in the basement. He has a "normal" amount of guns.
We are like 99% Democrat here, and my husband has a gun. I don't think democrats in general are against all guns. Just certain types and against things like open carry/concealed carry and also very into how guns should be stored to protect kids from accessing them.
And she's the oldest. My first born would never settle for being the little sister. Where is katfco's analysis of Frozen from awhile back? It was great. I request a repost.
This was probably already reposted, but there's no way I'm reading the whole UO on trick or treat night just to find it. I demand a summary for those of us who still need to figure out an Elsa braid!
1. The older/younger sibling connection. Elsa has all the responsibility and feels weighted down because of it. Anna is carefree and has no worries because she doesn't feel the same sense of responsibility
2. They've both been messed up by their parents' decisions and the loss, but they've responded differently. Elsa feels like she can't love anyone because she has this responsibility, whereas Anna will jump to the first person who pays attention to her
3. The entire song "Let it go." She starts off so emotionally oppressed, and it's clear in the words, the music and the animation. As it goes on, she realizes she can accept herself for who she is and then moves on to not just accepting, but embracing it ("it's time to see what I can do"). I love the phrase "My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around." The composers' word choice is impressive.
The animation of her body language mimics the meaning of the song. She starts off constricted and closed and then gradually opens up until the final shot, where she's happy, confident and wide open. The joy and power is palpable.
And then there's the fact that it's such a feminist movie that thumbs its nose at all the other Disney movies.
I'm still stuck on the fact that bigapple thinks I'm blonde. Get back here and explain yourself!
Ha, sorry, I'm catching up. I picture you with light strawberry-blondish hair. Maybe because I've almost always seen you in the sun? Or because you have those cute freckles that generally go with that hair color?
