Nothing booked, but my H wants to go to Japan at Easter.
I'm pretty determined to get to Malaysia and/or Vietnam next year too.
origami the weather in HK is great right now. I think coming here in fall is the best time.
yay! How is the weather in Nov & Dec, just in case we can't go until later?
I think it should still be fine. I know the pollution can get worse in the winter, but I think that is more a problem in January and February than November and December.
Looking for a warm 4-day getaway in Feb but don't want to fly super far.
When I lived on that side of the world, lots of my friends with kids went to Guam. Not far. Great weather and beaches. I'm pretty sure that you can get Amazon delivery to your hotel there too.
March - spring break, trip undecided as of yet but will either likely be a week in DC or a Disney cruise/Disney, which we are not super excited about but our kids will love
April - florida
May/June - trying to decide trip, but looking like Iceland right now, other choices are Colombia or Croatia
June - Park City
All we have so far, but we may also have 2 weeks in Jackson Hole again in the Summer

The plan is a trip to Orlando...my girls want to go to WWoHP and maybe hit Disney for a day or two. I've started looking into costs, but nothing is booked yet.
Sadly, I don't think we'll have anything big in 2015. We'll probably start ttc around the beginning of the year (If DH can keep me calm and focused. LOL), so I don't know what we'll wind up doing. A Portland and Seattle trip might be in the books for late May. We'll do other smaller trips/weekends away, but probably not anything international.

Feb - Australia for a month - still trying to figure out our schedule need more time down there for everything. Aug - Panama Canal cruise Other than that I'm not sure
We've booked St. Kitts / Nevis in a few weeks and Marbella/Costa del Sol Spain in June. If anyone has any recommendations for either, I am all ears. Not sure yet about the rest of 2015.

Let me know if you have questions/need recommendations. I consider myself an expert.
So far just Bali in February for 5 days, and I hope I have the willpower to keep it at that. I can't resist a cheap flight deal, like I have a physical reaction to it. I got tickets for $199 per person, each way and then they went and did an $88 per person, each way sale. That one crashed their website so I don't know who got those tickets!
We're supposed to be saving up for a down payment, and are spending the equivalent of one kick ass vacation on permanent residency, so I hope that's it for 2015!

We went to Puerto Banus a while ago because my husband's uncle has a condo there we could use. It was a very interesting town -- people park their yachts in the marina, climb in their Ferraris to drive to their villas, and the town is full of high end shops. But the beach is big and pretty, and the part east of town has all these cute little beach bars where we'd get our coffee in the morning. We drove to Gibraltar for a day trip but other than the novelty of going to a different country I didn't think it was worth it. We should have gone to Ronda instead.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain
We still have to decide where else we want to travel around Switzerland; we're thinking of taking 2-3 weeks and either heading south and visiting the French and Italian coasts, or heading north/west and visiting Normandy and ending in Amsterdam, possibly stopping at Disneyland Paris for the kids. (We took them to Germany and Austria last summer so we're looking elsewhere.)
eta: And now H wants to run the Athens marathon together, so we may be going to Greece next November as well. Plus London possibly in early spring.

Are you bowing to MMM pressure?
Ha, no! Bowing to 6 year old pressure although we decided after I posted this to hold off until dd is older, if we can!
i be typing from me phone. typos and grammer dont count.
We did this a few years ago and had the most amazing time! Let me know if you have any questions planning.
As for me:
Will be starting the year in Italy
Cartagena in March for wedding
Seattle over Labor Day for a wedding
I'm hoping to do a long weekend in April in Amsterdam to see the tulips but it might not be possible with H's schedule.
Summer/winter trips TBD
I was hoping someone would chime in!! We are still in early stagrs of planning...we are staying with a friend in Beijing but can use recs on where to stay in Xian or Shanghai. I would love to hear more details on what you loved.

We're going to San Diego in July. A friend has rented out a giant condo for a week and 25 or so of us are going to celebrate his 40th birthday. Right now our plan is to stay 3 days in San Diego, then drive up the coast and visit LA and San Francisco during the rest of the week.
We are also looking to book a post-tax season trip, so in late April/early May. We have some American and US Airways points that we want to use. We want a direct flight from DFW, so right now we're considering Buenos Aires (in the lead), London, and Brussels. This would be a week long trip too.
My family has talked about doing a vacation together at Christmas next year, but we don't have set plans yet.

Our 2015 travel plans are all dependent on when we move back to the states. I hate not knowing!
We are trying for Australia/NZ in February or March. I'm sure I'll be here with a million questions if it pans out.
If we move earlier than expected, we'll probably go back to Thailand since it's a shorter flight and we loved it so much.
We'd really like to knock off a long weekend to China and the Great Wall too, but again, depends on when we move! We'd be nuts to go in January, right?!?
I am late answering this but I tend to travel on shorter notice. During the past year or two, I have just done some local traveling.
I can say that next year, I'm pretty sure I will be going abroad again to somewhere new to me though the exact details haven't been fully worked out. I'd suggested going to Portugal, Greece or Turkey. Upon talking with BF, I'd mentioned Hungary and he expressed interest in going from Prague to Budapest possibly by car and exploring quirky places along the way. I can agree that I would find that interesting so it will probably happen sometime next year. The exact time will be worked out later. That's a trip that I could do during most of the year.
January- Tucson, AZ March- Denver for a board G2G and then SoCal for a Bachelorette party May- St John USVI for our Anniversary June- Dallas for a wedding July- Still TBD but either Carmel or Santa Barbara again or Palm Springs for my 30th bday
Another girlfriends bachelorette this summer but date/location are still TBD
Nov/Dec splitting time between both families in Ohio/Minnesota for the holidays.
We may have some weekend trips pop up here and there but these are the majority.
I haven't booked yet but I'll be in NYC in February or March.
We're planning on doing a week in Spain sometime but it may get moved to Denmark as a friend may be getting married there.
Other than that, probably a lot of west coast travel that makes for easy weekend getaways. We just got back from 1.5 weeks in Asia and work doesn't like us to take off more than 1 week so I've gotta behave myself with travel for a while

Val Thorens in Feb (skiing)
Diving through France in June (1 week) - will start off in Burgundy (wine) and then head to the Rhone Valley & then Provence, then work our way up to Bordeaux and then home (basically following wine)
Italy in July (1 week) - touring around the Tuscany region (wine & olive oil - yes, we love wine)
I'm hoping for a few quick weekend trips (Barcelona & Dublin area of Ireland) during the year.
January: Siem Reap, Cambodia March: Hawaii to visit family April: Hawaii, LA May: Las Vegas for a conference, Alaskan cruise with the family and a week in SF
That's it for now...the rest of the year, we'll decide on after my son starts school in June and we get the holiday schedule.
