Doesn't that take forever? We do a drive up thing but cars pull up in groups of five, parents get their kid out of the car, put their backpack on and get them to the door. Getting each individual kid out, helping them with their backpack and walking them to the door seems like it would take a while.
Not at all. I drive right up, they get her out, and she goes inside. Takes maybe 1-2 minutes. Not everyone uses drive up as well.
Nope, our pre school is like this too. It really keeps the line moving at pick up. They don't like you to get out of the car at pick up bc it adds to confusion.
If you're going to be dressed up, be dressed up. But I don't understand a bow tie with sweatpants. Or kids in black tie and the parents in stretch pants and a hoodie.
Maybe it was casual Friday? You don't know his lyfe!!
That's different...I mean he's in a suit. I personally don't like suits for under K age and then it's just navy blazers, BUT at least a tie or bow tie makes sense there.
I think people freaking out over Ebola are stupid, but I think the nurse in NJ/Maine should stay inside to set a good example of what you should do if you have symptoms even though she doesn't have any.
I hide Joey's candy and eat it when he's sleeping. He still has Easter candy. He forgets after 2 or 3 days.
I wish my kids would forget! They're like elephants with candy. "Mommy, where did you put that one piece of candy I got in that goody bag from 4 birthday parties ago?" Craziness I tell ya.
Hey, that kind of sounds like me.
DH: Hun, where's the tape measure Me: I don't know, I haven't seen it. DH: Hey where did all the doughnuts go? Me: They're on my desk. The bag may or may not be empty (snooze ya lose suckkkkaaa!)
I judge adults at the bus stop or dropping off their kids while wearing pajamas. The sole exception is someone with a newborn. I feel they get a pass for a few months.
My pjs are my birthday suit, so just be glad I put on clothes at all

Oh I know . Just being an AW since y'all were talking bowties anyways.
I'm not sure when it is that ties become cute to me. We shall see, but it's definitely not under a year. I don't like suits on little ones much either.
I actually love the classic look that's more popular in the south, a la Kate's M, but that look isn't as common here. At least not that I've seen. I'm also too cheap.

ITA. Drew wears khakis and a sweater or polo up dress nice now, but we didn't so that until he was walking. It will be a long time before I consider a suit or tie for him. I personally find collared shirts intolerable so I avoid them with my kids for comfort. A polo with the top unbuttoned is okay for him, although I can't do those without feeling like I'm choking.
My kid has never worn a bowtie, but he was freakin adorable in a sweater vest. In fact, he was so cute the local place that does santa used his first xmas (complete with green sweater vest) pic 3 years in a row in their ad.
