Related to the OP, this past weekend I saw the world's worst ever planetarium show in NC. My kids loved it because it was their first, but as someone who has seen a lot of planetarium shows and knows what they are capable of achieving, the simplicity of this one made me want to stab my eyeballs out. Then it referenced frozen TV dinners and I quit life.

Was that the Morehead one? I've never visited that planetarium but DH said it was bad. I kind of refuse to go to Chapel Hill for most anything except Southern Season, Crook's and Dip's.
It was SciWorks in Winston-Salem. I must say that the museum itself was great. The main floor seems simple, but when you start exploring the lower floors, you find all these quasi-hidden rooms with some really nifty hands-on exhibits. Just don't see the planetarium show about the two boys who build a rocket ship out of a cardboard box because it's annoying and dumb and annoying.
