L's new thing is giving high fives. she gives them on command, and will ask for them. she will walk up to me, pat my arm and ask for it and then gets so excited when i hold my hand out.
except...high five sounds like "die die."
oh and she can say her name! i honestly didn't believe my h when he told me. i told him he was lying because babies don't do that. nope, she can!
oh, and if you've been to target recently you know they have a huge blow up mickey in a santa outfit. she FLIPS when she sees it and yells "mickey!!!" over and over.
My son is learning to write and has been writing little "I love you" notes and leaving them all over for me. I find them in my purse, in my work bag, I found one in the fridge, I find them in the bathroom, taped to my door, etc... It's soo cute. I'm saving them to read when he is a hormonal teen and slams a door in my face and tells me he hates me.

Last night Lucy came to practice with me, due to a miscommunication with DH who usually hangs w her on Wednesday nights. It was the JV and Varsity practice and we went to a nearby high school for some stunting help.
Lucy did her homework on the bleachers and was SO GOOD. At the end of prac, they did a conditioning circle- all the girls do jumping jacks the whole time, and one by one do a back handspring or tuck, or, if they can't, do 5 push-ups.
Lucy joined the circle, and even asked me to spot her back handspring. Which she killed. #sportsmom. Where's @lazerus24 and @t2j???!!?

One more. DD INSISTS that DH wears a hat and glasses pretty much at all times. When she sees him in the morning she points and says "asses! on!" (glasses lol) which is then followed by "hat hat hat hat..."

Cute: DS is in love with his 3 tiny pumpkins. He walks around with them, talks to his "pumpkiiis" and puts them to bed.
Less cute: Attempted to sit on the floor next to DS last night while he colored with his dad. He took my hand and said "up" and then pointed to the couch and said "sit." Snubbed!
When I picked my kids up from school on Tuesday, my 3-year old started singing Blitzkrieg Bop when we got in the car. So I found it on Spotify and he head banged the whole way home. And that's what we call raising them right.

DD "sang" Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys on the way home once--it was one of my proudest moments as a Mom.
DD throws a "Do you?" at the end of every sentence this week. "I'm eating my apple. Do you?" Okay kiddo. She also started asking how everyone's day is, especially first thing in the morning.
These are so sweet. This isn't recent, as my daughter is now a teenager, but it's one of my favorite stories from when she was a tot. I walked into the kitchen one morning, and DD noticed we were wearing very similar clothes. "Mommy!" she said, "We rhyme!"
DS turned 1 this month and has really become more confident in his walking this past week. Yesterday, I was sitting on the floor watching him as he walked around and played with his toys. Then he just came up to me, hugged me, put his head on my shoulder, gave me a kiss and then went back to playing. It was the sweetest thing and totally made me melt.
I will aww my grandson. We were all at the Magic Kingdom and it was very crowded. My DD said, I never had the talk with E about what to do if he ever got lost. So, she says to him, E it is very crowed here, if you should get lost, look around and find a Mom with a lot of kids and go to her. E then said, but Mommy, if she has a lot of kids, she won't want me too.

DD insists on sucking her thumb at the same time as the bottle.
Also, she sometimes sleeps with one arm sticking outside of the crib and holding the bottom of the crib mattress. H also sleeps this way occasionally (minus the crib part, of course, lol).
