Its not normal, but people can. We have to get them passed security and stay with them. People do bring their kids around. I enjoy the kid visits and usually try to give them something from my desk.
I've brought my own kids in once in a while. I got in a liiitle trouble when I was on ML and brought my DD in to show her off. I might have taken her where you had to be 18 to be and ignored the rules/laws. But I had to to get to my office and see my coworkers.
Yep, not a problem which is nice too because we're just right down the street from each other but don't carpool. Our office is small people wise and really laid back.
I do not like it. I can have whoever I want in, but I hate when dh or the kids come up. They won't leave, they get in the way, they kiss me goodbye in front of clients, and its just annoying. They always have the dog with them, who runs around like an idiot, and they put water out for her and don't pick it up.
grrrrrr get out of my office .
I really really really hate it when the other office staff have people in too.
Yeah, this is basically how I feel about it. DH comes in sometimes, mostly if we need my secretary to notarize something, and I have brought the girls in a few times when DH was at the doctor, but it is a big distraction. If DH happens to be near my office and for some reason needs to see me I prefer to meet at Coffee Bean or in the lobby.
Allowed? I guess. Will I necessarily have time to see them? No. I had a friend drop by earlier this week and she came like 3 minutes before I had a meeting booked with parents.

At the office, I think so but I'm not positive? I have seen SO's in the break room and of coarse he could if we ate outside. Other then that I'm not sure since we have to use our badges to get in and the building is very secure. The office is an hour from home though so I never bothered to find out since I don't see why he would want to. I WFH now so he will come in to say hi on occasion. He actually walked in naked to grab something before his shower the other day and it felt weird to have him in my office, extra weird that he was naked.
Yes and no. H would visit me for short periods of time. Dropping something off. On weekends he would come and eat lunch with me. The hospital had a policy of 30 mins or less During tiur break but it was discouraged. Phone convos 5 mins or less in a private area. During Hurricaine Sandy, he parked in our break room with a colleague for a day.
I need to add to this post that there are currently about 20 visitors under the age of 10 in my area right now. Office trick or treating. I wonder if the badged all the kids? LOL
H can, but I can't. I can go out of my office to visit but they don't like anyone coming directly into our office. We have a badge reader to get n and security cameras outside the door to our suite.
