good morning! i ran out of bread yesterday, so i didn't get breakfast sandwich of pb&h like i normally get..and now i'm staaaaaarving! boo! i packed a big lunch, but it's kinda hard to break down and eat some of it now, some later..so i'll just have to wait. argh.
i don't have a lot planned..a friend is coming over for dinner today..but nothing fancy..just casual.
UW - going to bed early is NOT failing on healthy goals! When your body needs rest instead of more exercise, it will tell you. Good for you for getting some extra rest.
I'm in the same boat of needing a day to just catch up on sleep. Work yesterday was just exhausting and stressful and today I can barely focus. I'm crossing fingers that some of my meetings get cancelled.
I did an hour of elliptical last night. I'm so sick of cardio, but I won't lose weight if I just run every day. I'm thinking of attempting spin class tonight, I've hesitated to go with my stupid wrist because I don't want to put any pressure on it, but I'm hoping it's better enough that I can spin if I'm really careful. I just want to lift again!! /whine.
Morning! Just finished my morning jog and am getting some much needed coffee.
We leave for Mexico in a week and a half!! I didn't lose as much weight as I wanted but I am still really excited!
I think I am actually realizing what mkate just said about not losing weight by running alone. I need to try to figure out a good workout routine before I go back to school, it will be too easy to slack then.
I think maybe a class per week, a day or two of weights, and a couple or three days of running?

Do you have a cafeteria where you can get a snack? Hunger is no good!

yes, but the prices there are ridic. i only buy it when absolutely necessary. i have a peach i can eat..but i don't really like peaches (MIL gave it to me this morning), and not this early in the morning! peaches are more of an afternoon, in the sun, kind of fruit
Good morning. I couldn't fall asleep until almost 2am. I ended up watching 27 dresses to help make me tired. Luckily it worked and when I came to bed I pretty much just fell asleep.
Edmund is recovering well from his pink eye and sinus infection. Poor guy is on antibiotics for the next 9 days though.
I'm just glad today is my Friday. I have the next 2 days off and if it's nice tomorrow we are going to go to point no point and walk around and play in the sand.

Good morning! I went grocery shopping instead of working out yesterday, but I did really well with eating healthy. H and I have a Groupon deal we have to use this week, so I think we're using it tonight. It's at a Thai-fusion type of spot, and I'm probably going to stick with a boring salad

Good Morning! We are all still tired, but not sleepy tired...we just need to take it easy today.
I am not sure how my weight is going to come out after the trip now that we are back. We ate a lot of junk food, but we also walked so much and a lot of it was at a brisk pace. Also, I can't go #2 when I'm on vacation, so I have a back up in there. Once things get moving again, I should find out how much weight I actually gained while there.
Today, is laundry and getting things back in order. Tman has karate tonight, too.
my computer is back! they had to wipe the hard drive, but he was able to backup most of my stuff. I realized after that I lost all my fancy fonts that I had collected over the years not a huge deal, I know, but I probably had at least 50 that I had acquired over the years (starting with the wedding) and now they're all gone. and I have to re-setup everything... so that's how I'll be spending my day!
Good morning! I'm just running errands today and doing chores. Nothing special. I'm down another 2lb from the 12 I AW'd last week. I also found out what my trigger(s) were when talking to my counselor yesterday, so I'm working on them. It's so amazing, after gaining 120lb in 5 years, the numbers are finally going back down!

I've been up since 4:43. Woke up, then bkb woke up at 5:00. I got her back down but I couldn't fall back asleep, so I got up at 5:45 and went for a run. Now it isn't even 10am and I'm ready for the day to be done. It's going to be a long day.
As far as healthy goals go, I ran yesterday and today, which I don't usually do. I'm determined not to have to work out on a week end day and Thursday this week. Now that I met that goal, as long as I can get up for Crossfit Wednesday and Friday I am good to go. Yay!
so freakin proud today. stayed totally on track. did both a strength workout, and a HIIT/LISS cardio workout. and I dropped 5 pounds since sunday's weigh-in. BAM.
The vet thinks our kitty has kitty asthma, so she has to take kitty steroids for 30 days, and if that doesn't work we get her a kitty inhaler. But so far she seems to be breathing better already after just two doses, so maybe things will clear up and she'll just get better.
I hear the interval program is better for weight loss than just running for a solid 30 or 60 minutes. Though I know some treadmills/ellipticals have a separate "weight loss" program.
Sounders: yay for E getting better!
We're going to dinner with BIL and his fiancee tonight at some place in the U-district/ravenna. They were going to take us to the fainting goat, but they went last week so we're going to Eva instead.

That's what my trainer tells me. He has me do one two days of weights, one day of circuit training, one day of long cardio (90 minutes, heart rate in the 150-160 zone) and one day of shorter cardio with intervals (15 minutes on, 15 minutes off).
yea, this is my new cardio/weight plan (note, it's to break a plateau, so more on the intense side): monday: chest+triceps strength training in the AM, HIIT (5 min warm up, 15 minutes of intervals) + LISS (20-25 min of steady state cardio in the PM) tuesday: legs + shoulders strength training wednesday: abs + HIIT + LISS thursday: back + biceps in the AM, LISS in the PM friday: abs + HIIT + LISS saturday: HIIT + LISS or LISS sunday: rest
HIIT = high intensity interval training LISS = low intensity steady state
Yesterday at work was reeeeeaaaallllly slow, and so far, today is the same, even though it shouldn't be! Looks like everyone is just late with their data this month. :/ I don't know what my deal was yesterday, but by the time I got home, the only thing I could think about was lying down so I did on the couch. My head was all spinny and crazy feeling, the way I get when I'm overtired/allergy-induced sleepy. I didn't sleep long as kitty was whining all over the place for his 2nd dinner. H heated up frozen TJs indian food, so I ended up over my calories by a little bit yesterday (around 80) since H made fried rice AND samosas AND pakora. I only ate 2 each of the latter, but wich I had known the samosas were so many calories so I would have just tried one.
After work today going up to Ballard to check out these sofas on CL that I've been wanting for-EV-er, and these are an AMAZING deal. Will sell the second to my sister for either her or my stepmom and if they end up not wanting it, I'll resell on CL and make a profit. (At cost to them, of course.) Since I'll be there, I'll get my haircut. Not sure if I can get a walk in when I get home. My legs are also still painfully tight from gardening Sunday even though I'm trying to gently stretch them, so that's no bueno.
