I'm not dressing DD up for her first Halloween. I feel mildly guilty.
I was guilted into buying a costume for DS, since i had a costume for dd's first (but she was 9 months old). He's 2.5 months old and I should have listened to my gut and just got him a onesie with a ghost on it or something. Instead I got him this shark bunting that I am dreading having to put on him. Don't feel guilty, she won't remember.
My confession; I hate Reese's peanut butter cups. I like peanut butter and I like chocolate but have never liked the candy. KitKat's for life!

I gave this kids full juice with breakfast. I'm dressed like a cowgirl today. I sometimes go to a different grocery store to avoid my mother in law (she works at the main one and always makes a giant production out of the boys being in the store.)
I don't like the sound of my own kid's laugh. DD1's is fine, DS' is cute, but DD2's is like nails on a chalkboard. It's ridiculously loud and obnoxious. I'm probably going to hell.
I'm pretty sure I'm not taking the kids trick or treating tonight. We are going to a retirement community for trick or treating this morning. I feel guilty. DD (3) really doesn't need candy at all so going once should be more than enough, right? It's going to be so cold and I know DD will pitch a fit because she won't want to wear a coat with her Elsa dress. My plan is to let her wear the dress to pass out candy at home. Am I evil?
Not evil. She'll have fun and never know the difference.
We go ToTing in our friends neighborhood about 25min away. After all the festivities and running around with their friends for hours we will put them in their pajamas and drive home. They will be sticky and not brush their teeth, they will be asleep by the time we get home.
I am so tired and sick of dealing with ill kids that my students are getting independent reading all day today.
Not. Even. Sorry.
At least your kids are reading... I plan to show a movie in my last two classes of the day! They worked their butts off taking a benchmark from hell this week and now I need to grade said benchmark.
I'm thinking of skipping the party we were invited to tonight. Dh will still take dd but I will probably stay home and enjoy being alone while I clean. I'm dreading Halloween. Between all the fake death stuff and boys in costumes it's going to be hard. I'm not selfish enough to make dd skip stuff but it will be hard for me to endure it.
Ok, while that's not the best picture, I still think bald steve is sexy. I've said it before- blue's clues steve looks like he's a generous lover and has good weed.
My parents have each of the kids $$ in a Halloween card. We had plans to meet a friend at the park yesterday but they forgot and DS was crushed. To make it up to him I took him to target to let him spend his Halloween $$. Hue thing he really wanted was more than he had so I let him spend DD's $$ too.

I voted yesterday.
For the first time since Bush won for his 2nd term (which jaded me lol.)
I only initially registered to help pass a bond for more bike lanes and sidewalks.
I found a guide by Equality NC and cast the rest of my votes based upon that. We don't need any more people trying to get the gay marriage ban reinstated (it was just ruled unconstitutional later on the day I registered to vote, kind of ironic.)
I'm full of confessions today. DS doesn't want to wear his costume for ToTing but I'm taking him anyway. He hasn't wanted to wear a costume any year. I've always made him wear it for ToTing but this year I'm not forcing it.
My MIL (who is a loving and mostly capable grandma but annoying as fuck) "claimed" making halloween costumes for our kids when I was pregnant with G. Whatever, I give zero fucks. her money, her time. She is a talented seamstress and does a great job. Last year she made him an awesome purple dragon costume and this year she made him football pants. They are adorable. He has decided he wants to ToT as a football player dragon. I'm a little sad that the pants won't fit over the dragon costume, and I'm sure she wants to see him in it (because of course she invited herself over tonight) but he was SO excited about his idea I'm gonna let him wear whatever he wants
