We got exactly what I expected...the kids in the neighborhood plus one or two of their friends that came over, but less a couple of the older kids that go elsewhere b/c the candy potential is pretty small over here (only 25 houses, and we're right off a major road so walking to another development is neither safe nor easy in the dark). So I knew two bags of candy would do it, and I was right...there's two pieces left over for me...I mean, my kids. :-)
We had the best night ever! DH set up the projector in the garage, and we watched Scream 1 and 2 on the big screen, drank margaritas and ate pizza. We probably had 100 or so kids, so we have a little bit of candy left but not an obscene amount. Halloween has always been a PITA because we have to wrangle the dog whenever the doorbell rings....this was the best solution ever.
We had 5 Elsa's, all in the same group of kids. I can imagine being that mom lol.

Our party had fewer people than usual, but it turned out really fun!
I had the teal pumpkin project sign on my door, but no one asked for non-food treats. The last group of trick or treaters got huge handfuls of candy, plus full sized bottles of bubbles. They FLIPPED out. So adorable!
I bought waaaaaaaaaaaay too much candy so we're stuck with a giant bowl. Oh darn. We got a decent amount of TOT'ers. One group had a baby with 3 women TOT-ing. I gave them candy but was like, huh?? Also had a group of teenagers dressed in regular clothes. That drives DH crazy but whatever. I think someone's DH called it bullshit costumes. lol
I had some lady ask for a glass of water. I didn't know what to say so I said I didn't have any plastic cups. lol Was I supposed to sit there while she drank out of my glass? It was weird.

We stopped at a house that was really decorated last night. They had a guy dressed up like an animatronic statue standing at the end of the driveway moving his head back and forth slowly. People would go up and look at it, and he would jump at them. It was hilarious! I genuinely thought it was electronic at first!
