DS refused to nap after his morning one. Holy hell what a mess he was tonight. I wanted to keep him up a little later than normal but we started bedtime earlier instead.
He's also been ripping man level farts in his sleep. I laugh after each one.
Uggh buncha that sounds horrible. It could also be borderline personality disorder. Manipulative behavior is a hallmark of it. I'm sorry the trip was so bad. Hope you can avoid her for a long time now.
I did not know that this was a thing, but yes, reading on that has kind of hit the nail on the head. Blah.
Uggggh, you guyyyyys, I messed up and missed paying off my credit card balance by $30 last month. I'm so embarrassed, lol. Interest charges? Wtf, man. That sucks balls.
If you normally pay your balance every month, there is a good chance they'll cancel the interest charges if you call! (happened to us, someone suggested this, and it worked!)
I'm so damn excited to finish the nursery. It's soooo close and looking awesome. I just need to evict C from the crib and move the glider and we're good. Oh and I have to leave a salty review for an Etsy seller when I finally get the artwork that was supposed to be here weeks ago.
C just woke up and is crying but she's still laying down in her crib. I don't know what to do, lol. She usually stands up to voice her displeasure. I'm waiting a few to see if she just goes back to sleep or what.
I have three dresses for DD's baptism, but I am shopping for more because I'm meh about all of them. I have about $3000 worth of dresses in various carts waiting for sales. I hope some of these dresses I am looking at are still around in the spring for my friend's wedding, except in a smaller size b/c I need to lose the baby weight (and then some) by then.
I went through all of DD's 3-6 month clothes to see if I have to buy more. We have about a dozen sleep & plays (a mix of cotton and fleece), a half dozen 2 or 3 piece outfits excluding holiday outfits, a dozen L/S onesies, a pair of overalls, 2 bunting-type suits, 2 hoodies and a pair of footed pants. So now I'm on the lookout for plain leggings or jeans.
I picked up DD's baptism gown today and I looooove it. It is probably way too ornate, but I don't care, it is gorgeous!
I'm afraid we're in for a long night. The ILs came over and watched some football with DH tomight. I was doing school work, as conferences are coming up this month. FIL offered to get DS to fall asleep, which worked out well, at first. However, he's been up 3 times since then. He's currently screaming and crying while DH tries to calm him down. Maybe this is the height of the teething pain? When will these first teeth stop bothering him so much? My poor baby!

I only liked this because I agree with the BDP. I read a book recently that was semi helpful about this called "Stop Walking on Eggshells." Good luck, bunch.
ETA: I've mentioned before that I spent some time seeing a therapist about my mom. It helped me to realize I couldn't "fix" her or "fix" our relationship, but it is still very frustrating for me to deal with her.' She gets more out of control as she ages.
3 tries of getting dd back to sleep were unsuccessful as soon as I took 3 steps from her crib. Looks like I'll be sitting here with one hand on her back for the next few hours.
DS woke up at 3:15 with his horrible croupy cough so I'm nursing him to see if it helps him settle. Really hoping this doesn't result in us being up for the day! Extra hour or not, it's wayyyy too early for playtime.
We came back to FIVE dirty bibs and three dirty burp cloths. It was basically one bib per hour we were gone. I told DH he's doing the extra laundry and I'm buying a dozen more bibs for when his mom watches DD one day/week. Fucking ridiculous.
In the big scheme of things, this is not a big deal. If the worst thing that happens is a few extra dirty pieces of laundry you are doing pretty good. Was the baby happy, well rested and fed? Did she basically follow the instructions you left? If so, let it go.
C was alternately hilarious and a total PITA today. Someone tell me the "I DO IT" phase is normal? Because no, kid, you actually cannot make muffins by yourself.
Tomorrow I am going to BBB with @kcpokergal to play registry consultant. Yay!
Oh jesus, we are in the depths of the "MAISIE DO" phase right now. It's really trying.
