DD required swaddling until she grew out of the biggest swaddle blanket available. Then she just had to learn on her own because we tossed her in the crib and ran.
He is so tired, but he can't put himself to sleep. I wrap him up and *bam* sleeping. Silly guy. When do they gain that helpful skill?
This is what's happening with us too. I end up holding him after I wrap him up and then I put him down. He's in his crib sleeping now. thank goodness!!!
Ours is 13 months and they still "swaddle" him sometimes at daycare - I think they mean tucking him in really tightly in his little nap cot, but frankly I wouldn't blame them whatever measures they have to take. He hates sleep.
We swaddled until 10 or 11 months. I really didn't know what to do to break him of the habit, and then one day he didn't want it anymore and that was that.
Edith hated swaddling and the bassinet. She wanted to be free and flappy in her giant crib.
Freddie likes the bassinet, but doesn't like swaddling, and he wants to sleep on his belly. My kids suck at being infants.
All my babies slept on their stomach. Pudding has learned to roll from belly to back but since he can't roll back, he just screams like the world is ending until you come fix his turtled ass. Then, he's so fucking angry he won't go to sleep until you've picked him up, burped him, and settled him back down.
Then when I put him back down, he starts up again.
