That's been kind of a hot button issue here recently but I don't see a vote on it any time soon. Even a lot of our more liberal candidates have been iffy on legalizing medical marijuana. FTR I don't partake, but I have no issue with it. I guess I never understood why it was such a big deal.
HoneySpider That's how I feel too. Alcohol is even worse in some ways because it's easy to OD on alcohol but weed isn't something you can really OD on (unless it's laced or something, but if it's regulated, that wouldn't happen). I know tons of people that smoke for various reasons and see nothing wrong with it other than that it stinks, lol.
I don't partake, I'm in medicine and I don't see the big deal. I have a family member in law enforcement who agrees with me. So if/when TX decides to legalize marijuana, or at least decriminalize it, we plan to vote in favor.
Oklahoma has had petitions around different cities trying to get it on the ballot. I'm really kinda surprised it is happening as fast as it is here. I figured we would be one of the lasts one to legalize it. One day we will get there!
I thought of you this morning when I saw that on the news. Are you sure you didn't know about this beforehand...you know...before your DH's "job opportunity?"
On a serious note...politically, I believe in the concept of having it legal.
Possibly stupid question: when it is legal, does that mean you can just go and buy it from a store? Like how do you officially/legally obtain it? Lol sorry if this is a dumb question!

The Oregon measure says that you have to be 21 to go into a store and buy it here.
