So, preface with saying we weren't allowed to watch much Looney Tunes when we were little. My dad particularly didn't like the amount of casual cartoon violence with no repercussions as he didn't want us to think we could do things like drop heavy objects on people's heads or jump off cliffs/buildings and not get hurt.
Thinking of Pepe LePew as an adult...he seems awfully...date rapey. ^o) Always trying to force himself on poor kitty (Penelope/Fabrette, whatever her name is)
So...is he still fine? Or is he a remnant of a bygone era since his rather forces himself on poor kitty (and he's an AWFUL French steroetype)?
i always felt bad for the girl kitty. does he ever kiss her? cause if he does, that's where the line is crossed i think. hugs and what not are part of the cutesy humor, but laso shouldn't be tolerated IRL.

The kitty had it coming, always getting that white stripe down her back and leading him on, the hussy
I don't read that much into cartoons/children's shows (Sesame Street, etc) from my childhood. If you want to nick pick Pepe LePew, I guess I can kinda see it, but I really don't think young children would.
I always thought the whole point of was that Pepe LePew was a jerk for smooching on ladies who weren't into it and thinking he was God's gift to lady skunks.

It didn't embed the Youtube video for some lame reason, even though I used their little code thing! youtu.be/wbGIo01mgo4?t=2m20s
Yes, there are actually SOME episodes where he and kitty-lady are actually dating. Those are cute I think her name is Fabrette when it's one he's dating? And more often Penelope when he's, erm, harrassing.
