Here's mine: Mr. Smock had fever/chills last night and seems to be coming down with whatever I have. This is bad news for him, but good news for me because it implies that I don't have mono. The incubation period for mono is 4-7 weeks, and his 4-days-later symptoms imply something more flu-ish. Plus, 90%+ of 30-somethings have been exposed to the virus that causes mono, so the likelihood that we both have mono is small.
I'm also feeling a lot better today. Although I feel a little guilty for celebrating Mr. Smock's illness.
So there's my good news/bad news wrapped up in one event. I still haven't gotten the results of the mono test, but I'm feeling much more optimistic!

smock, I can't believe you haven't gotten the results back yet. The last time I had it, I got the results while I was at my doctor's appointment.
P is home today so I actually get to see him (good news). But, there goes my alone time and slob like tendancies while he is away (bad news).
My employee (who was unhappy with her annual eval) called off the meeting with me, my boss and the HR person (good news). However, I'm sure she is now trashing me behind my back (bad news).

They decided to do a test that takes a few days to get results because it's more accurate, I guess? I'd rather know sooner, but I guess I have to be patient.
Bad news: I'm on a 11am-2pm conference call, then I have a 2pm meeting. I am currently plotting the appropriate time to mute the line and go grab lunch somewhere. Hopefully not while they're discussing anything they'll want my input on
So . . . I'm the only one who sometimes eats lunch at 10:30?
Maybe you can run out before the call and then eat during the call?
Good news: Working from home today and it is lovely to work in our client management system sans bra and makeup.
Bad news: My house is messy and I have lots of dishes to do and the new guy is coming over tonight, so later on there will be a mass frenzy of cleaning. In the meantime, I get to see the clutter!

Bad news: ds has wrestling practice from 6 to 8 tonight so no birthday celebration for me. Although I don't really feel all that upset about it.
Good news: xh picks ds up from school on Wednesdays and will take him to practice, so I just have to be there in time to pick him up at the end. I think going to skip the majority of practice today and get a pedicure instead.
Bad news: I am still dealing with my insurance crap from the accident,,,they still havent determined whos fault it is. REALLY? It says on police report that she said the sun was in her eyes and couldnt see so she turned anyway!!! how is that not open and shut?
Bad news is my 10 year niece is incredibly sick and has been home from school since Monday.
The good news is that since I do not work, I am spending the day with her since both parents have important meetings today. Of course we are not doing anything but sitting on the couch watching TV but I am glad I can help my family out like this.
