Once you graduated from the diaper bag, what are you using to carry stuff around? Now that I'm staying at home more with DS, my skip hop duo is just not what I need. I don't want things to get lost in a big tote bag/purse though.
I keep the few things I need for C (diaper, snacks, wipes) in the zippered compartment in the middle so I don't even have to see it if I don't need it. I use the two larger outside pockets for my stuff.

My diaper bag has always been a plain black bag. I guess technically it is a diaper bag but doesn't really look like it. It's very similar to this one:
He's two now. I've always just carried my small purse and shoved a few things for him in there if it's a short trip, or packed a backpack for anything over about four hours.
We've turned the corner with DS and honestly I don't really carry anything for him in many situations. For church, there are snacks and water and I pack my backpack for both kids. For a quick trip somewhere or going to a lesson for him, we just go to the car and roll with my purse.
I still have a "loaded" duffel bag, but I usually just leave it in the car when we're going places. I have a nylon Messenger style purse I'll often take out with me, and I throw his cup and a couple of snacks in there. Most times I have the stroller with us, so I keep a couple of small toys in those.
I actually hardly need my diaper bag anymore. DS3 is 18 mos. I make sure to have some diapers & wipes in the car. If necessary, I have a small snack for him in my purse. Otherwise, there's not much that I need for him.
I have a bag that is just as big as always. I kind of feel like I need MORE for my toddler.
yep. i carried almost nothing when L was smaller. now i am carrying outifts, diapers, toys, and food. she is much messier now than she ever was when she was tiny.

I definitely carry more now too. I got my Stevie when AJ was 10 months because I needed more space...A purse with some diapers and wipes thrown in it was fine for day to day or even out and about for most of the day but now? Diapers, wipes, shittons of toys, at least one outfit, snacks, his cup, etc...it's insane.
When DS was a toddler I carried a Land's End Little Tripper bag. I still use it if we are going to be out of the house all day. If I don't pack a change of clothes, I have pretty much guaranteed he will spill chocolate milk/fall in a mud puddle/something!
I got the Skip Hop duo when DS was born, used it for like 2 weeks, and went back to a purse because I was sick of diaper bags.
I use this most of the time. No compartments, but I have everything in separate zippered bags -- one for diapers, wipes; one for my stuff (hand sanitizer, lip gloss/stick, etc.); one for snacks. I keep a change of clothes for both kids in my car rather than lugging it in my purse. I usually throw my wallet, cell, and a toy or two in for DS, and we are good to go. So, I feel like everything stays organized/easily accessible despite it being just one big tote bag.
I have a big purse that I use on a daily basis (Kate Spade Barbara Flatiron). If we're going somewhere with DD on the weekends, I throw in a gallon-size Ziploc bag with wipes, a few diapers, crayons, and a snack. Not exactly fancy, but it gets the job done

This. Even with a toddler and a baby I don't take that much on quick trips. I toss a diaper and a bottle in my purse. DD carries her sippy if she wants it. I keep extra underwear and dry pants in the car for her.
That's about all.
Longer trips, I take a tote and keep it in the car with snacks and stuff. If she needs stuff to stay occupied, she has a backpack she packs on her own.
I keep a ziplock in my purse with one diaper, a small travel pack of wipes, some raisins and a granola bar. I carry a large purse to accommodate more if we need it but that is generally it.
I still keep my Skip Hop in the car and stocked just in case, but it never leaves the car.
I'm with MadamePresident I feel like I need more crap for him now.
I still us the same tote bag I used all along. I don't really cary a purse anymore because during the week I have my work bag and then on the wekend I use the the tote bag.
Honestly, I now just throw a diaper (for my 2yo), wipes, clean pair of kid undies (for my 4yo), and 2 straw bottles of water into my slouchy crossbody purse. If we're going to be out through a meal time, I'll throw in a couple pouches or something to hold them over.
Now if we're going somewhere for the day, I still pack my diaper bag with things like coloring books/markers, stickers, a couple figurines, a change of clothes, etc. But for regular errands, playgroup, etc., just my purse with the necessities.
I have a small messenger bag I use if we are going out for the day, and don't have the bike. If we are on the bike I just bring a small tote with water and snacks that can either stay on the bike or brought in if needed. I keep a diaper or two and a baggie of wipes in a pocket of a small travel purse I have.
I carry less stuff with a toddler. .. but have back up sweatpants/shirt/etc in the car. Llbean has some great nylon bags for $24 with a zippered top that are great to toss stuff in.
I keep my regular diaper bag in the car. It's a Perry Mackin Zoey. I just go back to the car if he needs a change. I keep a few cards, ID, cash, and my keys in a little pocket wallet.
I carry a purse ( An older Kate Spade that they don't seem to carry any longer). I only toss a bib, a package of hand and face wipes, and her camelbak water bottle when we are running errands. Sometimes I'll toss a snack cup in it. She has a baby doll that she brings most places, but she carries that herself. I keep a bag in the car with a change of clothes and a winter hat/ gloves in case we need it. In the summer I have zip up make up bag that I keep sunscreen, bug spray and sunglasses in that I keep in the car.
I use a Fossil Shopper Tote most of the time. I just throw a diaper, wipes, sippy if needed, and a snack in small wetbag and throw that into the tote. I have tegu blocks and crayon wallet (like this, but not by that seller...mine is by MamaMade on Etsy, but it doesn't look like she has any right now) in there for toys. If those things aren't keeping her occupied enough, she gets my phone.
I have a Madewell crossbody glasgow satchel. It is really nice and I got it last winter when they had a great discount that put it right above $100. I vainly had it monogrammed.
