Something I ate at dinner didn't like me. It was all I could do to make it home.
DH and I disagree about what to do about the crappy Berber in our family room. It's frustrating bc this is like the 3rd year we've had this conversation an we can't ever agree.

M was a freaking ham tonight. He was pretty much throwing himself around the bathtub and then acting like it was a slip n slide. He then thought it was hilarious to climb into his toy basket and fall backward, over and over and over again.
Our babysitter was awesome!!!!!! Dd loved her, she is smart, outgoing, kind and heck she even wants to be a dr. She is a junior in hs so she will be around for a little while. I also told her dh was going oot if she was able I could use her help and she said she could. Score!
My friend had her baby this morning! She went from 0 to 10 crazy fast so she had to go unmedicated (NOT planned). Poor thing is wrecked.
And she had a girl, which was a total surprise! She was convinced it was a boy. I GET TO BUY A DRESS.
Also, DS has a girlfriend. Our nanny's DD and him lay on the floor and hold hands. It's funny what they're picking up from each other. Her DD is getting more vocal and DS smiles with his tongue sticking out.

I could NOT handle the 5:30am wake ups from DD2 any more (since the time change). So we forced her to stay up until 7:30 tonight, which was at least 2 hours after she was so exhausted that she was just on a tear and getting in trouble every 10 seconds (DH started timing it at one point). Fingers crossed that this works and she sleeps at least until 7 tomorrow.
tulips -- You're not alone :-) Before I let DD1 have an A&A blanket in the crib for the first time, I balled it up as tight as I could and made sure I could breathe through it. LOL.

4th night this week of solo parenting, I'll be sooooo glad when H's performance is over tomorrow, particularly because A has tooth #6 coming in tonight, which both threw her sleep off today AND made her a cranky mess tonight. I wound up putting her to bed at 6:15 instead of her usual 7:00 bedtime. I really hope it doesn't mean an early wake-up tomorrow...
Welp the Buckeyes are already losing. UGGGGGGGHHHHHH
Bummer I am an MSU girl.
I am trying to figure out how to wean from the swaddle because she keeps busting herself out and waking herself up. I read the troublesome tots website, but am side eyeing some of the advice.
H is going to watch boxing with a friend tonight. I really wanted him to take a MOTN feeding so I could get some consecutive hours of sleep for once, but he watched DD pretty much all day so I could run errands and take myself out to lunch. I feel like I can't ask him to do a MOTN feeding too. My parents are coming to visit tomorrow so I could probably get a nap at least.
My last "solo parenting because DH is at a football game" day of the season. I'm glad it's over, but not nearly as generally pissed at him as I was last year. Things have gotten SO much easier in a year.
I need to put DS to bed now (that is, read 3 Scaredy Squirrel books and a bit of other stuff).
Dumb sleep sack question - if you did NOT go to a sleep sack after ditching the Swaddle and 6 months later you decided your LO needed a sleep sack did they care? It's starting to get cold and DS doesn't like fleece pajamas.
I skip sleep sacks in summer and they never care when I start again.
I was super motivated today and cooked for the first time in weeks. I made:
Banana apple muffins Crock pot Western Beef Casserole (dinner tonight) Meatballs to freeze Crock pot French dip sandwiches to freeze Hard boiled eggs for my work lunches
Of course my motivation waned in the cleaning and storing process so DH is downstairs cleaning up after me. Zzzzz
DH is currently researching Christmas lights and deciding what he needs to add this year. There is a reason I call him Clark Griswold. You guys, he was talking about wrapping the telephone polls on our property lines. I told him I didn't think we had permission to do anything to them. OMG I'm afraid of what he has planned. (wilted)
And I have tried to reason with him and compromise, but it always seems that another string goes up sometime between him getting home from work and me getting home from work and he just prays I won't notice.
I also find sleep sacks so strange. I think B would think I was crazy if I was all "hey here's a bag I'm going to zip you up in." He barely tolerates diaper changes.

They are yummy but very sweet. Probably didn't need ALL that sugar. I also think I shouldn't have loaded the muffin tin all the way to the top because they are heavy.

DD has been getting up at 5:30 since the time change, no matter what time we put her to bed. Wth kid?
We are supposed to hang out with BIL and family tomorrow, and I don't wannaaaaaa. They're nice, but they usually overstay their welcome, and if you set a time limit on their visit, they end up deciding it's not worth it to them. I don't want to hang out with them for 6 hours on a Sunday!
I'm away from my toddler for one Saturday and learns 2 new words, hi and thank you. And now knows what to do when you ask him to throw something in the trash. Ha.

Oh, one other thing.
When your child is melting down and won't eat (because you had the AUDACITY to pour yourself a bowl of Cheerios to eat while she was eating her dinner) anything but Cheerios? You take her out of the high chair, sit on the floor and turn yourself into a human high chair, of course!
No picture, but I was cross-legged on the floor, A sitting in my lap and the high chair tray balanced on my lap.
