We have the needlepoint stockings from Land's End and will order two more for these girls - all different patterns but the same color embroidery for our names.
Everyone in my family has matching stockings. The woman who made them for us passed away, but I found a lady on etsy who made the same pattern.
Both kids have first Christmas ornaments from Hallmark, but I don't have pictures of them.
Our family has the same stockings. Could you tell me who you found to make them? I want one for our daughter? Thanks!
I just looked up my order, and it seems like she's not very active anymore. Or maybe she's already busy for Christmas and took down her listings. Anyway, her shop name is IDoItWell and here's what I bought: etsy.me/11eoANg (ETA: sorry the link doesn't work. I'll upload a picture in another post if you want)
It was very high quality, but a bit smaller than our usual ones, so you may want to measure your current ones and compare to any listing before placing an order.
I did a search for "vintage candle stocking" and saw several listings of varying quality for the same pattern.
So many cute options! H immediately loved this one, so I just ordered it! I also got a handprint ornament kit on Amazon and ordered silver/gold/bronze Sharpies to write her name and the year on it. Now I have to check out all the stocking options!
We also got at least 4 Baby's First Christmas ornaments as gifts, and 2 separate handmade stockings (one quilted from MIL, one cross-stitched from my aunt). I did make an ornament that was just a plain glass ball from a craft store with the tag from his bassinet at the hospital and our hospital bracelets in it though.
Our stockings don't all match but I like the quirkiness of them that way. H and I puffy painted some cheap felt stockings when we were poor law students and I love them.
I don't have pics of my girls' ornaments (and actually E has like five because she was the first grandchild on both sides and born a month before Christmas), but we got this one for J when we were in Germany a month before he was born:
I have been planning to make their stockings for years – I have the pattern, fabrics and everything – but I just haven't taken the time, so for now they have little cable knit stockings from Target. #badmom
