I went grocery shopping today so we're set there. DH will get home from deer hunting tonight and needs to get the snowblower ready and then it can start!
Blerg. Target was a freaking zoo tonight because of this, and I just wanted to buy some milk! I'm really hoping it's not as bad as they're predicting, because H already has an insane week due to hunting opener (he's a butcher), and he also plows for several people.
In unrelated news, I drove past your 'hood today spk926. I waved. Did you see it?

We're south of the cities so we're only supposed to get 3-6". I did make sure the kids had snow pants and boots that still fit them. Ugh. I'm so not ready for winter. The kids are super excited though.
It is supposed to hit more central MN, so directly over me. We just got a new snowblower and DD1's new snow boots came this week. Bring it on!
My girls love the snow, but I love this picture from last April's late season snow. DD1 had gone down for her nap at daycare when it was nice out and woke up to the snow.
I did a big grocery run this afternoon and am planning some serious comfort food for tomorrow night (wild rice soup and homemade bread). So thankful that I'm not commuting anymore - the first snow always brings out the idiots.
I don't think we'll end up getting as much as they are predicting - latest reports I've heard is 5-8 inches.
I'm in MT, not MN, but I'll play. We're supposed to get 2-4 inches, and then have bitterly ccoldntemperatures. Like, low of -10 Tuesday night. I'm so not ready for this.
And I'm cursing myself for llitnoring my instincts to have my snow satires installed next week. My H was all "you should wait..." Not it'll be a long wait!

I totally did!!
Glad they're saying it's not going to be as bad as originally reported. I haven't watched the news all weekend so I'm behind on my weather updates. I'm hoping to catch the 9 o'clock news here soon but that station makes everything into a crisis so we'll see what they say.
8-12+ inches depending on where you are (in and around the metro at least, not sure about outside of that).
Holy crap, that's a lot of snow for the beginning of November. My brother lives north of the city and has to drive downtown every day. Thankfully he has a huge truck.
Left work at noon. It usually takes me about 15-20 minutes to get home. Today? 40-50 and only made it because I have low range 4 wheel drive on my vehicle.
